OK so ive been growing herb for approx 9 years, but ive now got a very big problem, i have about 15 growing plants all about 20 inch tall and will be ready in the next 6/7 weeks, i got a letter today and my housing now want in to carry out a survay external and internal, i grow in the loft and in a small cupboard, these surveys are to be carried out within the next 6 weeks, i have no odour at the moment but that is sure to change, what do i do ?
I could not answer the door and have good people next to me in the same kind of house let me know what the survey involved, ie did they look up the loft, or do i pull the girls put both grow areas back to normal cut my loses and certain jail time and start again when its all clear, work gone to waste but i still live to fight another day and have my liberty or has anyone in the uk had one of these said surveys and what was involved ?
The girls are looking good and i need your help and advise please.
MANY THANKS in advance....

is this a nationwide survey or only in your area as i live in fife
Its scottish housing quality standard mate, FUCKING BIG BROTHER as per, its to see if your looking after your home etc, ive been in this place 9 years, now they want in to do a survey, and it will be done in my area in the next 6 weeks from 9am / 5pm i just dont know what to do man, am no stranger to being locked up, but the summer is here and my girls are looking dam fine, i mean i could pull them, and they might come in and not show any interest in the loft or my cupboard, but then again ! all i can do is hold back, keep a low profile and wait till they have been in next door who are totaly cool with me, they can let me know how things went with them give me all the feed back, i mean ill not be the only house in the area they wont get in, then prepare for the return visit, TALK ABOUT TIMING.

Just found out they will want up the loft area, its like a energy survey and to see if they can save you on loss of heat etc, man this sucks, £300 worth of seeds and girls down the drain, when will they just leave us alone, BIG BROTHER IS ALWAYS WATCHING US IN THE UK, anyone in housing ass / council owned you have been warned, its all to do with the new energy rules, so for the next few days i have to pull up healthy girls about 3/4 weeks into flower (sweet tooth) and blue cheese, all that work gone down the drain. am gutted.

I'd probably try contacting them and setting up a specific day and time. I'm not sure what the laws are like in Scotland but I doubt they'd go in your house / be on your property while you were away.

Then you could put them in some boxes and stash them somewhere (car, storage unit) for a day or two. Your plants would be able to recover just fine.

I live in a small area with twitching curtains, i dont want to take out boxes then bring them back again, i understand people want to help with advise but i just dont know what to do for the best, most of my mates etc are married and just would not be allowed, i live alone for a reason, i dont even drive man, my house is spotless and i leave no stone unturned throught doing this, but this has came right out the blue, its totaly done in my summer cash and herb, i just cant keep them in the house and take the risk with them getting found, i just dont know when they will call so i need to start to prepare the now, if i leave it any longer they will be harder and smelly'r to move. sucks !!!

I know what your saying dude but i never like to bring attention to myself in any way shape or form, either way they need in to carry out the survey, i need to have the place back to the way it was, for all i know they could call out on monday, the letter says they start on june the 1st and it will take 6 weeks, i dont want to put them off, just a pitty i was not closer to harvest.

The only thing i can think of is taking all the plants out the loft ''hydro'' and putting them in pots ''soil'' keeping them in my cupboard under a 600wt light, when they come to me not answering the door, they should then put a card or letter through my door for me to make arrangements for them to get in, next door has an old car so i could box them put them in the car, then after the visit bring them back in and set back up, they should be strong enough to cope, it would be better than nothing and maybe worth a shot in the dark.

The uk is going nuts the now with ways of saving energy and all these new rules, they are also talking the now about putting in smart elec meters so the power firms know what your using, and if you are running to much power they want to know what your using it for, they will even start to email you in the ''FUTURE'' to ask why you need so much power and what your running. and you just cant do outdoor in the uk, the summer just means the rain is warmer lol.

I had my survey done today and would say i passed, they did have a good look around windows, doors, heating, and were in all rooms in the house, they did go up the loft but not right into it, if i still had my set up in the loft it would have been game over, ''ALL SCOTTISH GROWERS SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THIS'' this is now law and is the new housing standards, so if your in a council house, or housing assosiation etc or even private landlord (rented etc) they must now have this, if you,ve not had it done it will come to you soon, so please be WARNED.
I will put up a link and all you do is click on SHQS MANULE
i found all the details online its worth a read !!!
