UFO LED or HPS 250w

if your buying the UFO from the right company then yes you will get WAY better results then the 250w most def.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh9oGroryoc

In this video you can see that the 90w LED (1) did far better then the HPS and the 90w LED(2) because the (2) LEDs had crap bulbs.
The LED makes darker greener danker plants.
Im not gonna say HPS isnt good but for cost effectiveness LED is defiantly the better choice.
HPS does seem to have a better coverage but watt for watt LED has more coverage
1000watt LED vs 1000watt HID System the LED would destroy it but most of the time people compare the 300w LED vs 1000k HPS/MH because most websites advertise how their 90w UFOs are equal to 400 watts of HID when in reality it makes just as good buds but the coverage isnt as good as the 400w HPS/MH but then again the LED throws out more usable light no heat there for can be moved closer so they both have cons and pros.

Sorry for my horrible run on Paragraph sentence thingy? lol

And you can find the same type of pics for HID:leaf:
Post some pics up than dude....
I would love to think that LED works great
Its just that you can find similar bud shots on all of the LED grows... You can't say the same for HID grows
Post some pics of buds like that grown with HID lighting

Ill admit there are a lot of shitty grows done with LEDs but if you think most look like that you have to get out more. You have to admit that is the worst grow you could find, here if you really want to believe

just a few decent ones, for the price you cant beat HID, but if price isnt an issue i dont see what HID has on LED. I have an HPS and my new LED so ill let you know how well the LED compares.

Both pictures you posted are of plants that are not as far into flowering as this LED bud is
The pistils on the LED bud have mostly receded into the bud
First picture you posted that plant isn't half way through flowering
Second picture you posted is of a fluffy sativa bud that is foxtailing, is is not as far into flowering either
Get pics of both of those plants when they are finished flowering and we can talk, they both need more time

what kind of fert are you using ?? IMHO Looks like they are over-dosed on nitrogen, and have a potassium deficiency. If you are using one part you may switch to a three part. looks good though, they are not quite finished, wait till the pistils recede. you will get all your weight in the last week.

I got some very very tastey nugs from a 180 w UFO

I have not used the 250 due to heat issues with my set up and went with a LED for that very reason

I am happy so far

this is the sorriest thing ive ever seen, growing like this is just downright cruel and unusual punishment for an innocent plant. its a shame that people get sold these archaic torture devices under the guise of low temp lighting. leds are for electronic devices, not horticultural applications. the ideas neat, and its an awesome concept. however the technology just isnt there yet.
