it is possible. after shields loses, nick will attempt to avenge his boys defeat and call stpierre out. only thing that will stop stpierre vs diaz is the superfight against silva.. or shields actually winning.

i dont think shields is better than diaz. i think shields is more of a smarter fighter than diaz but not a better fighter. but against stpierre, THE smartest fighter in mma, thats when the intangibles of diaz will shine, knocking stpierre out of his comfort zone with the shit talk that he does during fights.(something both hardy and kosheck didnt do, because they tried to fight smart, which is y they got there ass beat) the constant peppering of punches/pressure, the ability to get hit and keep going and his submissions will result in a diaz victory. in my humble opinion..
dude u cant compare koscheck to st pierre man like the man is above him in all aspects and hardy is pretty good.

Holy hell! You see that knot literally forming on his forehead!

Besides that freak show, my other favorite was Valencia falling down cross eyed after Menjivar hit em with the bow, priceless.

koscheck is good man, atleast he attacks...im getting tired of watching gsp dance with the stars

but your right. comparing koshcheck to gsp would be like comparing nate diaz to bj penn and well, we all saw that massacre

best card of the year!!!

mcdonald beat diaz ASS, i will be watch mcdonald closely now dude can challenge for the title soon fighting like that.

hominick showed me he is a fucking warrior. fought balls out with a baby comin out his fucking head to almost take aldos belt in the last round. aldo is still a beast but something wasnt rigth with him, he gassed out and didnt have that same pop in his punches/kicks after the 1st round. and he took his opponent down, which is the first time iv seen him do that, but did nothing on top. nothing. just held him. no subs no gnp..

stpierre and shields was the dud of the card in imo. it was the only fight that any of us watching didnt jump out of our seats screaming something. stpierre out pointed shields. stpierre defended his title. thats all. this fight is a perfect example why he is not the p4p king. he doesnt not finish fights altho he is clearly the superior fighter. he showed zero killer instinct and was fine going to the judges for the win.
shields on the other hand... wtf was you doing???? did you think you was winning that fight???? cause you obviously was not, i mean you didnt get your ass beat down but you def wasnt winning the fight. so i ask you jake, where the fuck is YOUR killer instinct? i thought you said you was gonna TAKE gsps title away from him?? i thought you said you wasnt content with just going the distance against gsp like his previous opponents?? bullshit. you let gsp dictate the fight, his pace and his stand up. but, your stand up was impressive, better than i thought.
they rambling here is fustration, sorry, im not in any away trying to take anything away from any fighter that steps into the octagon but come on... i saw all episodes of primetime and both of them talked like they was gona bang and finish, and they did not.

undercard knockouts were fucking awesome. good stuff ufc!!!:leaf::clap::leaf::clap:
thats 5stars lol

Aldo v. Hominick saved the card, until GSP starts fighting to win and not to lose, he'll always be a boring fighter to watch.

After every fight GSP always says "I should've done this or I should've done that..." Give me a fucking break, just go out and do it for once.

na man hominick didnt have the belt at the last round he got dominated almost the whole fight but i give him props for fighting and for guarding that bump on his forehead really good
and for the gsp fight he had no problem taking it to the judges i believe he lost or it was a draw, the judges gave it to him beacuse i mean come on hes in canada and the event was big. Well if he would of gone to bang (shields) he probably would of got hurt bad and possibly knocked out man u just dont go swinging crazy in a fight when ur opponent is a great fighter u gots to think about it feel me sometimes u gotta fight smart but man i think jake could of done way better and knocked out gsp if he didnt throw just 2 punch combos if he threw like 3 or 4 after the jab cross come back with a hook upper cut or come back with the jab after the cross and kick i would of made much more of a difference.

Id rather see Nick Diaz v. GSP, Nick will hunt him down and show no respect, he has better hands than Shields and a great ground game too

i got gsp, machida, aldo, henderson, and unfortunently nate diaz i hate the diaz's
Why do you hate the Diaz Bros? I trained with one in Stockton for about 3-months consecutively, 3x per day. I wasn't training directly with them as in sprawling, but they run a class at a Gracie gym in Stockton. Nate is usually always there, Nick comes in from time-to-time. Nick is no fucking joke, when he gets to work, he gets to fucking work. Both dudes are nice as Hell, they have they're fighter personnel & they're out of character personnel. Not to say they can't & won't throw down at anytime, but they are very humble. It was costing $120.00 a month to train with them, the gym is in the heart of Stockton where all the thugs hang, bad part of the city, I've seen Shields there twice as well. Love the Diaz Bros. been watching Nick for years & Nate threw up a 209 on the TUFF series & being from 209... that was pretty cool!

last time I heard, Nick wasn't coming back to UFC. Talk is he's going pro boxer.
Wrong. Nick did state he would not go back to the UFC & it has nothing to do with money when it comes to Nick & Dana. If Nick fights for the UFC again it will be a forced bout. Nick Diaz is NOT going to pro-boxing anytime in the near future, he is the REIGNING CHAMPIONSHIP in his weight-class right now & cannot be stopped. I doubt he's hanging up the MMA gloves for boxing ones while holding the belt & having a lot more to prove.

Id rather see Nick Diaz v. GSP, Nick will hunt him down and show no respect, he has better hands than Shields and a great ground game too
100% agreed. Nate Diaz? Whatever... Nick Diaz? Underrated & 100x better then Nate.

I'm not quite getting the meaning of the 1st sentence. You say I'm wrong, then agree with me?

In an interview on (I think it was) mma weekly when he was asked directly, Nick said himself that a pro boxing career isn't out of the picture.

I'm just sayin'.... that's what was stated publicly.

If it IS over money, GOOD! None of the fighters get paid enough, and the UFC just chews them up and spits them out.
Yeah, thanks for making us millions while we pay you thousands.

diaz has zero chance at taking down gsp...nobody in that division does..silva/gsp in the next year neither have any real challengers in their division..i like that 20 year old kid macdonald..great form and well rounded and is only 20 years old, he trains with gsp and could one day be ready for a macdonald/gsp title fight.

No, I wasn't saying you were wrong about Nick NOT fighting in the UFC. I was stating; although RIGHT about Nick not fighting in the UFC anytime soon, WRONG about him fighting in pro-boxing anytime soon as well. Maybe I should have better clarified, when high everything sounds smooth. I also said Nick was the reigning championship, again, sounded smooth at the time, but meant champion (without) ship. Lol. Nick may have stated that a pro-boxing career is possible, but it's as mute as Tito saying a acting career is possible. Doesn't mean it's happening & knowing Nick from following his career, he is MMA bound not boxing. Loves to fight in every fashion, whether he knocks you out, or submits it, you sure as Hell won't ko him lol.

As for fighters not getting paid enough, it's always been that way since the beginning... sort of like marijuana laws, it just needs to be changed already to make sense. But, then again, some would argue NBA, NFL, MLB, MMA professionals don't even deserve a million per-year, so those people would probably disagree with you.

Have you seen Nick Diaz? I mean, seen him, outside of the organization he fights for now? How could you make that claim. Please, go back to the football thread where you had a little more knowledge on the area. Your straying back to your NBA analysts here. How many times has Nick Diaz been stopped? How many times does GSP stop anyone anymore? Not a good match-up in more then one way for GSP in that fight. Nick is a lot more powerful, flexible, reach, aggressor, type of fighter in that fight. Usually, it's GSP with all the pro's... like I said, not a good fight for GSP. IF... a big IF... GSP were to win that fight, it would surly be a cut or decision victory. I would say Diaz by decision also, but has a much better chance of ending it before GSP would.

He doesn't have to take him down, GSP has a weak chin and Serra proved it, Diaz will land enough jabs to GSP's face and make it his fight. GSP always makes fight his by taking away his opponents strength(s,) but never really doing anything else besides keeping distance, adding points and winning rounds. Diaz will go in there with one thing in mind, to finish it or die.

If GSP finished fights like Silva did, I wouldn't mind him so much but he is royally boring to watch, only reason I ordered this card was because it was stacked, if it was just GSP/Shields with some random fights under it, I would have just read about him winning by decision the next day

I thought GSP showed a lot weakness against Shields!! I agree he has a weak chin. GSP would get mauled by the Spider!!!! The Spider should be going up in weight, not down to meet GSP.
