Type of Glass for Concentrates

Hi!

So, I have a Cheech Double Honeycomb bong for flowers, but was thinking of getting a dedicated piece for concentrates.

I see a lot of options for rigs out there, but was wondering if any type/size of rig is "better" than others.

For example, a "recycler" vs. a "bubbler"

Any idea? Would love some advice!

P.S. If it makes a difference, the things I'd want are easy to take hits and flavour.

Start with a quartz nail dab rig.

I've been looking at these ceramic nails, I'm probably gonna buy one of these, I'm getting tired of my Ti nail.

I still just put oil on top of herb in my bowl... I can't be the only one who finds it funny how seriously people take smoking weed?

I tried one. My observation was it's hard to tell when the temperature is correct. Ended up lying in my parts drawer.

Thanks for the replies, but really talking about glass pieces here... as in waterpieces... bongs, bubblers, recyclers etc.

You use a "nail" on your glass dabs rig. It's like a bowl on a bong.

Nails made of borosilicate glass are least durable. Quartz glass takes the torch better.

Nails of ceramic or titanium are a step up imo.

titanium bowl with glass bong w/ oil catcher is what I use.One thing, I wouldnt recommend is getting a glass piece that has percs and shit in it, its not fun trying to clean that out.

I second quartz nail on a simple rig.

Cleaning a dedicated oil piece is as easy as putting some 91% iso in it and shaking it around the affected area. Though I also second a simple rig with the least amount of water filtration as possible. The more water filtration on the rig, the more wax is lost as reclaim stuck to the glass.

That being said, I own like 8 rigs...Stupid? probably.

Agreed. And fritted glass is not dab compatible imo. Have buddy that tried one dab on his new dab rig with fritted glass diffuser and plugged it up. Never got a hit.

I pretty much only use my bubblers with "quick stick" attachments these days. So smooth, even on my large bubbler bong. Use them like a "nectar collecor". I have titanium and quartz domeless nails but find them killing the flavor in comparison.
Here's my small bubbler with a quick stick attachment.

Is the stuff inside still good to smoke?
Looks pretty tasty to me but how do you get it out or is it waste?

dissolve it with 91% Isopropyl alcohol, and pour the alcohol into a dish and let it evaporate, preferable in front of a fan or something. Thats the short version of it, at least.

Oki, that would be a good recycle.

Sorta off the question but,
I have (had) a Colour changing glass pipe.
I left it sit in 91% a few days and I see the color changing substance flaking away from the inside of the glass.
At this point I put fresh iso in the container and want it all out.

Anyway, anyone know how to clean a color changing glass?

I have my whole setup already, except for my glass. Gonna be using the Silika Domeless Rook Nail.

I'm really just asking about what type of water-glass piece would be best... that's it

Bong vs. Recycler vs. Bubbler... y'know, just water pieces.

Maybe someone could quote me if Im wrong...but the color change goes on with the hues in the glass. So you shouldnt have any color changing chipping off, most likely its the original colored glass.
I buy disposable pipes, cleaning them sucks I just toss em out
Also, you can use your torches to get the recycles out...swiftly go back and forth with the torch in the gooped areas and melt it to the desired location (even with percs)

I've never really hard of a "quick stick" attachment and searching the google only showed me vape pens.. Can you explain to me what this is and how it works? Or show me a vid or something?

I heat the dabbing end and drip it / blow it into my reclaim jar... then mix it with melted chocolate.mmmm!
The bubbler I soak and discard.

A few glass blower friends of mine have been messing around with it and they sell them at a local headshop.

You heat the end that sticks out with a torch and touch your dab to the end of it while pulling... really smooth!
