Two questions.. Lights, Air Flow and Humidity??

Hello
I am new to growing inside. I have just purchased a growbright 6 inch inline exhaust fan and a charcoal filter. I took it out of the box and plugged it into the wall and it is LOUD.
There was nothing hooked up to it yet.
Question 1.. After hooking up the Duct work and the filter will it be less loud?
Does anyone know how to quieten it down or should I send it back
I have to have a somewhat stealthy grow.
Question 2.. Can someone tell me if the humidity in the room has to do with the size of
the buds? Is it critical to have the huge buds? What is the cheapest way
to raise the humidity in the grow room? It is only a small closet.
These two pictures are of my test grow just ol Mexican dirt weed seeds...

the fan won't get much quieter. Not sure how loud it is, but moving a lot of air makes noise. You can get a duct muffler, not sure how well they work. How big of a room? All of the charcoal filters I have found for the amount of air 6" size fans move are enormous! How big is the one you got?

usually you have to worry about too much humidity in a grow room, not too little. Too much humidity promotes mold and mildew problems. What is your current humidity? around 40%-50% is good, imo.

It is enormous as you say! My closet is just big enough for 6 3 gallon pots. My humididty usually stays about 36%. Also what seed do you believe gives the biggest best colas?

You definately don't want a dehumidifier at that level. It will probably be in the range you want once you get the plants growing well in there. I have a 4x4x6.5 tent. I was looking at 6" fans and the filters were all 2.5-3ft long and weighed 36-40lbs for fans that size! I went with a 4" fan and filter that is only about 15 lbs. Works perfect with my 400W lamp, keeps the temps about 78º.

I couldn't tell you what has the biggest cola's. Most of my grows over the years have been bagseed. Don't enough experience with multiple commercial strains to offer any advice on those. The most I can say in my experience is the indica dominant strains have the thicker heavier buds.
