Two New Lights from HLG!

I know that I'm loving my new light and the new lights looking great

Oh come on ... I can't even get an old one now they got new ones lol
Love HLG ... but it's hard not being USA

Wow, those are beasts! I love the integrated reflector idea, curious how that alters the light spread? Do you find it lights up the edges of a footprint more than the standard QBs?

Rehash. Where are the bar lights?

Some manufacturers seem to be able build lights to be just as good as bar lights but not with all the size, weight, ect, and who is to say what is really better I think they all have a place and application for all.

Boards arent great for even spread... bars are slightly better. A good strip build is probably the most even light source.

I’m running hlg 550v2’s and a 600v2. Got nothing but love for my QB. If I was dealing with any room that was vertically challenged I probably would invest in bar style so I can get lower without comprising the spread of light.

Had a few different lights, bars and boards never had a problem with either one as long as you listen to what the plants are telling you to do.

Boards seem to penetrate the canopy better and bars seem to spread light around a little more. If we could just get a light that does all then we can all be happy

I think we should celebrate these new lights @pop22 !!

maybe a lucky grower or two could win these new fixtures to demonstrate the light in a journal.

Would love a new free light!

My understands in a 10% increase in PPFD in the outer 25% of the footprint.

Not sure when but they are coming fairly soon from what I've been told. some other interesting lighting coming for the commercial market also. I'll update as soon as I have the information!

If that were true, HLG would have gone that route by now. Every design is a compromise of one sort or another. Only the very best of the bar lights come close to matching HLG's lamp efficiency.

I do have and appreciate my hlg lights, but efficiency power wise vs footprint are two totally different things.
Currently have 2 648's on separate slate 2s in my 3x3 and they do fine.
