They say it doubles in size. I'm kind of curious, mine tripled in size and i'm using a hps light. I'm wondering if it has to do with genetics also.

Alright boys, it's update time. Sorry for being so lazy lately.

Things were looking kinda grim for our baby for a while there. Running low on space in the grow box, not being able to afford better lights and nutrients, and heat problems made it seem like things were heading in a bad direction. On top of that I was beginning to think that it was a male plant. I saw some little ballish things growing on some of the nodes and ...

But I didn't let it get to me. I remembered reading many times here on rollitup that the best thing for your plant is time and care. So we gave it more of both. Last night when I took these pictures I didn't notice anything obviously different about the plant. But, as I was putting it back into it's box I noticed something awesome towards the top of the plant. Pistils! PISTILS!!! MY GOD, THE THINGS THAT I THOUGHT WERE BALLS HAVE SPROUTED TWO THIN HAIRS OUT OF THEM! Needless to say, it made us very happy.

Now, on to what the plants lookin' like. You'll notice in the attached images that some of the leaves are looking kinda crispy at the tips. This has happened due to the lack of space in our current grow box. It's been hard to move things around in there and keep it as safe as possible for our girl. Many of the leaves have been yellowing. As the lower leaves turn completely yellow and start to die we have been removing them from the plant. I know that the yellowing is normal for marijuana plants that are later in flowering so it never scared me. You'll also notice that I have pulled some of the off-shoots (I have no clue what to call those stems) farther outward away from the plant. I did this so that they would not be condensed in the middle of the plant and would recieve more light farther out.

You probably won't be able to see the pistils in any of the images. I didn't even notice them until I was putting the plant away after taking these images.

Anyway, I've been thinking that our plant should be farther along in the budding process by now, but I am not going to complain. You know why? Because now I know it's actually a female and my patience has been restored. :blsmoke:

Glad to hear you have a female, man. 30 days into flowering seems like a really long time. I have some of the same issues with space and heat that you do and now I'm concerned I will face the same fate. I already chopped 2 of my remaining plants, as they showed their balls quite clearly. I have 2 left and which haven't showed any definitive signs of their sex as of yet. Mine have been flowering for about 10 days. Good luck.

Good luck to yo too, man.

If we get any bud from this plant at all it will be a success. :hump:

It's our first grow so the next will be better and so will the grow after that and so on.

Choob, this is my first grow too. I checked the girls this morning and I'm pretty sure at least one is a female. There are about 5 bud sites and I'm starting to see the famous white hairs. Again, this is after about 12 days in flowering. The biggest thing I have learned is that you have to control the heat. Excessive heat will wreak havoc on the growth of the plant and THC development. Do whatever you can to keep the temp below 85 F and preferably around 73 or so. Good luck and keep us posted.

choob, y do u have your face for ur advar ,and tell what state u live in
im in love with your avatar, you gotta tell me who she is and if she fucks on the first date!

ch00b: great job on the girl! and dont worry about not having enough light, for a small plant you dont need much more than 50w-100w's

you don't know that's me.

you don't know i actually grow marijuana.

you don't know that i live in ohio.

if some authority wanted to track you down via the internet it would be as simple as tracing your IP and (if they have the authority) by simply contacting your ISP and demanding the information.

what's the point in living if you can't be yourself?

besides, i've got much worse things to worry about.

yeah, heat has been a problem. i have a makeshift CO2 injection system in our grow box to help the plant cope with the heat as much as possible.
