Turning lights up

So my room is just switching to flower tonight, so tmr marks day 1 flower for me... this question may seems dumb because logically i would say leave lights on setting they are on now but curious if plants could handle higher intesity during certain flower weeks?

So i attached pictures. 2 pics are with lights on 1000w setting, 2 pics are of lights set to 75%(750/800w?). As you can see they did not like 1000w setting. Lights were deff to intense. I turned down lights and the leafs opened up(spreading widely) and started going upward finally. Given that they are happy at 75% turning them up at any point they would just stress out correct?

What sucks about this is my ceilings are 10ft, which is where lights are mounted. So bulb is tech maybe 9' to floor. I measured 5'2" bulb to tip of branches. I would think i could have the lights on 1000w with that much distance but light is to intense for them.

Also as a side note. There is 6 hydropharm phantom de commercial lights across a 14x15 area(plants fill the 14x15) room is 14x19. Temps are perfect with my exhaust fan set with temp controller since cold outside... also as fyi, i have ran 12 gavitas in a garage and i am very happy with the phantoms. I could put gavitas closer to plants on higher watt settings. Therefore, the phantoms IMO are stronger. However, my garage had co2 with gavitas. I dont have co2 with phantoms. Would be crazy if co2 helped that much. First real run without it.
