Hi guys.
I'm about to start my first indoor grow, and i have built a frame with 12 led strips.
The area is 2x2.

I'm planning running them at 75%, but i have read somewhere that dimming down to approximately 50% during veg. boost the growt.
Is that true?I
The only way dimming lights could improve the amount of healthy quality growth would be if it lowered your gardens temp down into the ideal metabolic range for the plant.

The more likely explanation for what you heard is that someone dimmed their lights and thought the "bigger" plants they got were a good thing when really they only stretched out because of the weaker light.

The only way you can tell for sure if they are getting enough light or not is how they react by stretching. You don't want the nodes more than an inch apart on young plants. That's how you can tell if it's not enough light. They'll get long and stringy. That guy probably thought the taller the better lol. You can have a 2 foot plant and still harvest a pound off it. It's all about adequate light coverage between all tops. Not how tall they get.
