Turnaround time for applications

What seems to be the current timeframe for getting approval/denial on your applications, both caregiver and patient?

I gotta renew this month. DOC.. IM BACK.

im at 105 days and still waiting! heard at my doc. office they are around 6 months behind....... but its just hear say

took me 137 days to get mine...and it just arrived this afternoon in the mail.

Program Status Update (2/4/2011):</U> Application Forms and Instructions are available for printing from this website.
Currently staff is issuing registry identification cards for valid applications received mid-October.
Program Statistics:

• 96,088 original and renewal applications received since April 6, 2009.
• 56,467 patient registrations issued.
• The number of caregivers will be posted as soon as an accurate number can be obtained.
• 10,918 applications denied -- most due to incomplete application or missing documentation.
• Applications are reviewed within 15 days of receipt. Incomplete applications are denied and applicants are then notified of denial by certified and regular mail.
• Complete applications, change forms and reapplications for previous denials are then processed in the date order in which they are received. If a denial letter is not received, then the application is deemed valid. The statute currently allows for a copy of the application submitted to serve as a valid registry identification if the card is not issued within 20 days of its submission to the department. At this time, we are unable to issue valid registry identification cards within the statutory time frame with the resources available to us. We continue to review and revise our processing methods in order to more efficiently process and issue the valid registry cards.
• The staff is diligently working to process the applications and is having difficulty responding to all the voicemails left on the Medical Marihuana Registry phone line. We appreciate your patience and ask that applicants refrain from calling to inquire about the status of the application unless your application was submitted prior to the end of September.

But with a copy of paperwork, can you still do everything before you get your card? Like do you have to wait all those days till you can get any medicine at ALL?

I went to see the Dr. on 10-4-10 and received my card 2-4-11, so it took 4 months. I was able to obtain my medicine after my 21 days, but before the card had arrived.

Thanks, Donnybrook, but I was looking more for personal experiences. It's one thing to read the stats that might say "it's taking up to 90 days", but the actual reports are indicating that it might be taking longer than the state would like to admit. If one news article I read from out of Kalamazoo is correct, they only have THREE people processing the applications. Lovely scenario, huh?

That is a link to a similar thread. I have not received my card yet, I am still waiting. I sent mine in the mail 10/23, I believe.

I see it's still no faster.
Approved 4-24-10 paperwork came back 5-20-10
card arrived on 8-24-10

90 days for my first time around and 3-4 weeks for the renewal.
