I wonder how many new "patients" there will be after legalization?
like we have said all along and f or many years now
if they stop people from growing their own ...everyone will become medical!
They even state they DONT WANT THIS as well..Good ole Billy boyee gave that away not so long ago.
ONLY ...after they figured out their stupid ideas would only force people that way!:wall::finger:
fools I tell ya..but you already know lol

i just mailed my application off last week. does this mean my registration will be good from the date of issuance now? and so i have to renew early to avoid it lapsing, i don't wait until it expires to send in another one?

also if i move i have to send in a new application and i can't grow in the new address until it's approved right? do i need a new medical document?

here's an example of how you are wrong.
Donald Cote has cancer....and was busted and is seeing the inside of a court room...and he is fighting for his application to be approved.
you say over and over again how a sick person would never see the inside of a court room.

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/can.legal/12tNGBsAV1Q

we may have the right but it does not mean there won't be court and/or a large legal bill. the Government will always find a way to screw us over

Im doubting you have the entire story really..
so say as you will dishes :-D
I have an oncologist and GP behind me..
I dont tell stories like others here.
I dont talk out both sides of my mouth, like other here do as well.
So.. it remains a fact, It's up to the person to fight their battles..(:
I'm far from worried, I have a shot at today!!!..
thats all that matters ! ;)
weather people get it or not...

why do you doubt i have the whole story?? do you know more about this case??
you tell everyone not to worry about it because you will never see the inside of a court room. very dangerous to pass on as sick people do get busted.
you have your mind set and tell people to just grow..what are you waiting for?
YOU may have that behind you but there are people who are sick that don't have that and will see the inside of a courtroom AND have a huge legal bill.
what do you say to cancer patient Donald Cote? he has his Dr to back him so if you are correct, why is his case moving forward? he still has to pay the interest on his $12k bail that he had to borrow to get out of jail.
we have the right but we still have to follow the rules
you say it's up to the person to fight their battles-why have the battle to fight if you don't have to?

YOU are covered...others are not.

wow, if you actually followed it, it was the homeowner/sister of his designated grower that got charged... He was clearly messed around with by health canada, and he very likely will never lose....The court room you are refering to is addressing his statement of claim against Canada...

TURMEL: Crown drops Luc Lapierre's big medpot charges

JCT: Fascinating story. Luc Lapierre was busted with the
Nouage Criminal Organization raid a couple of years ago.
Most of the others have taken plea deals and are in jail.

He was charged with Production for the Purpose of
Trafficking with a minimum 2 years sentence, with Possession
for the Purpose of Trafficking with a possible life sentence
for over 3Kg, counting the plant material, and Possession of
10 grams of hash.

Luc filed a motion to quash. Judge Millar refused to hear it
and booked him for his trial without a Preliminary Inquiry.

He filed a motion in Superior Court for an Order of Mandamus
that Millar adjudicate the Quash and for an Order of
Prohibition against any trial without a P.I.

But he couldn't get a date for the Superior Court hearing.
It was sent to a judge's desk to pick a date and nothing
happened.

The trial he was trying to prohibit started before Judge
Laflamme last Friday.

Luc showed the judge his motion to prohibit but since
nothing had been done, he took up the pre-plea Quash.
And then put if off a month for some more input.

But the Crown mentioned that they expected that Luc would be
doing the same thing as Nicola Fontana did, admit all facts
but then elect a jury trial.

The only way they could avoid the election to jury trial was
to drop the Production charge carrying the mandatory minimum
and reduce the Possession for the Purpose charge to under
3Kg, actually, 264 grams of dried bud! Har har har. Not even
a day's dosage for Michael Pearce or Ray Hathaway.

So he's facing Possession for the Purpose of trafficking
264 grams and Possession of 10 grams of hash.

Sure, he can't take it to the jury but it's also doubtful
any judge would jail him on such minor violations.

Remember that back in December, he filed a motion to get
back his bail money on the grounds of family need. The $12
grand on his credit card is costing him $200 a month his
family could really use. Refused.

So given the Crown has seen fit to reduce the severity of
the charges, maybe the next judge will see fit to reduce the
severity of the bail.

Seems word has gotten out to the guys doing their mandatory

minimums in jail.

Fairly certain it applies to new applications, I haven't read or heard anything about it being retroactive.
