Hey guys, I know a guy who got awarded a dispensary here in az and he has asked for my help acquiring quality medicinal strains and i was hoping some of you fine growers can point me in the right direction. I have decent seeds from the tude but I don't think that will cut it for meds. We are looking to open by September so time is short. Thanks.

Last I heard there were over 400 apps for the 125 spots. I have two friends who have each applied for a dispensary license.

Sounds very fishy to me. I would steer clear of this individual.

I agree. If this 'dispensary person' has the wherewithall to be 'awarded' a dispensary, he should already know where to get good genetics. Not resort to some clown asking strangers on a weed forum for 'decent' genetics.

Actually he was the only applicant in the zone he applied for as well as another area that he doesn't know because there were 4 other applicants too. we are just trying to plan ahead for when he does get his operating license after Aug 4. Do you really think everyone starts this with all the knowledge and connections in the world? He is a born and raised arizonan, not some Colorado California douches trying to just come here and make a quick buck. But thanks for your help haters.

Glad to see an Arizonan is gonna be awarded an operating license. Don't worry about all the hate and jealousy on these forums, just ignore it, and stay away from arguing on the internet with retards. I have found a large number of people on these forums that chime in on topics they know nothing about.

Lots of people are putting in dispensary applications that have NO IDEA what they are doing. I commend you for starting to look for good quality genetics now, because in 2 or 3 months the market will be flooded with unknowing dispensary owners.

In Cali and other MMJ states, there are still dispensaries that suck total balls, and dispensaries that do a good job of serving their patients. Good job, as it appears you don't want to be a member of the former, and are already thinking about the quality of genetics for your patients. Thank you, for doing that. I hope all dispensary applicants shoot for the best genetics they can find.

I got a chance to talk shop and trade meds a few weekends ago with Bradon from Hortusone. Not only did he seem professional but his smoke and strains seem top notch. (He has done quite a bit of travel looking for his favorite strains) Here' a picture he said I could share.. this is some real medicine, viewers beware:

I've seen this a lot in Colorado. They even did a story about it on the news a few months back. People who have no idea what they are doing (growing) are opening up shop, then close a couple months later because they can't grow shit(actually that's all they grow). If you have no strains, you haven't been growing. If you haven't been growing, how can you produce quality meds? And yet you want to open a dispensary to help patients.

Holly Medication, that afghani landrace is a serious strain!! Hacker PM where can I get a cut/sample of that!!!
I would love to get quality like that from an AZ dispensary. (Not likely)

IVIars is right, non-profit operators should not use patients as a testing ground. Those companies will NOT survive. I would assume the operations with real growers will have patients flooding in from all over the state. I mean some CHAA's are five minutes drive from another, why settle for garbage? I imagine it will be a task for businesses to find medical growers, AZ is full of bullsh*ters.

Didn't you hear? Mmj is the new.get rich quick scheme. There will.be a lot of failures and dispensaries closing when they realize what it takes to produce medicine. Most of the medicine now comes from cali or Colorado. If they aren't producing it now what makes people think they will immediately be able to start pumping out dank? I wonder what's gonna happen when dispensaries have their failed first grows and they can't use out of state medicine because the rules are very strict about accounting for where your medicine was grown. And that should be right around the time the drought sets.in when last years outdoor from.norcal and.elsewhere starts to run out.

I wondered that as well. Law says the MM has to be grown at a disp in AZ. One can buy from another but they cant buy out of state.

My card is good till turkey day. If I renew in OCT I may get a grow card again.

Actually I have been growing for quite a few years and have grown some excellent stuff, but everything I have grown has been from seeds off the internet. Due to the fact that what I have been doing was illegal I have never been able to due large grows to find the elite pheno from different strains, and due to the fact that planting a bunch of seeds and growing them out to find the best one could take a very long time and a lot of wasted resources, especially when we have a time frame and budget. The fact that we want to make sure we have the best genetics we can source so we can make sure we put out the best for the patients I think is the responsible thing to due. It doesn't mean I don't know how to grow or that we don't know what we are doing, it just means we want to do the best we can for us and the patients. By the way we are patients too so why would we want shit quality?

Growing has been legal for almost two years now. If you have been growing for that time and have not sourced your genetics up until now then I don't know what to tell you. Genetics is what sets the good from the mediocre and with so much competition, why would someone give up their advantage when you are just gonna go building your brand around someone else's hard work. Why would the growers enable the dispensaries to shut them out?
