Could someone please help me understand how these three values work together. I recently aquired a digital ph meter and have a EC-TDS meter en route and am not sure how to combine these values to get the optimum solution. Thanks:leaf:

There are really 2 values and they are only marginally related. You want to keep pH between about 5.5 and 6.5. Don't get on the pH roller coaster by checking and adjusting many times a day, do it once a day. The other value is an index of your nutrient concentration whether in EC or ppm. There I recommend you follow the feeding schedule of your nute manufacturer. After you have set the res, measure ppm and that becomes your baseline until the schedule calls for a change and you change the res.
