WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Wednesday that he was willing and eager to be interviewed by Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential campaign, insisting that he has done nothing wrong.

“I’m looking forward to it, actually,” Mr. Trump said of talking to Mr. Mueller, answering months of speculation over whether he was willing to submit to questions from the special counsel, who is also believed to be looking into whether the Trump campaign aided Moscow’s effort and whether the president sought to thwart the inquiry itself.

What he says doesn't matter. He changes his reality more frequently than he drinks the next diet coke.

Testifying under oath means he will appear before the grand jury. You can't swear in before an fbi agent; it's a court vehicle. It doesn't matter to the fbi though, you still can't lie to them even if you aren't under oath.

That means no lawyers present. Clinton did it via video feed, but even he got tripped up. And he was a lawyer and knew better.

I just don't see his attorneys agreeing to it. He is dumb enough to do it, but they can probably convince him to just say no.

This is all a courtesy on muehlers part. He can always just issue a subpoena and the supreme court will probably back him up; it is a different court from previous decisions so anything can happen. Then it's up to the secret service to deliver him.

But it will be more political than criminal in the end. Presidents are a special beast when it comes to criminal law. It isn't obvious and it doesn't always make sense.

tRUmp is a pathological liar and he will find a excuse not to at the last minute. How many times has he promised to release proof or important information about something in "a couple weeks" and it never happens.

Really? Then what about his tax returns, or melania's citizenship story, or getting on a scale on national tv?

If what you say is true, we wouldn't have any of that. ;)

Right whingers would have preferred if the DOJ hadn't been able to find them. There was no there, there. That they were missing became grist for fake conspiracy theories that the reactionary right and left endlessly gab on about. Too bad for them that the messages were found.

oh you're going to be fun.

it seems every post I make you have to mention right wingers in some fashion. the fbi was clearly lying, should be a bipartisan issue imho. the two lovers said they were planning to go easy on hilly because they feared her wrath if she were elected pres then comey goes on to exonerate her before finishing the investigation or interview.

imagine if trump had high level doj and fbi discussing an insurance policy in case hillary got elected and the right said there's no there there.

doesn't matter to me if she was a dem or pub, that's just collusion.
