True Newbie

Hello I am going to try and use this thread just to get some answers from you fine ladies and gentlemen.

Basically I have never had anything to do with drugs and always thought as a lot of people I am sure are lead to believe that they are bad and will kill you end of discussion. However I have put in a lot of research and I no longer believe that you are all destined to be poor homeless people who's lives will deteriorate since the moment you took that first toke.

I have never seen Cannabis let alone a plant and I wouldn't even know where to get it.

However I am not interested in smoking this oh so interesting plant, I don't like smoking yes I am truely as newbieish as you can get. However the thought of cooking it into food with no long term repercussions does attract me to the plant as just a way to relax and step out of my real world issues for a short while.

So my questions, if you could list the answers whatever comes to your head as you read them and please be tolerant. (I will add more as I think of them)

1) What long term health effects would a once in a while recreational use give (cooked in food)?

2) I will only consider cooking with this herb, any comments?

3) Will different strains have any meaning to me when used?

4) What sort of quantity would I need for say once a month batch of cookies?

5) How many plants would that be? (A guesstimate 1-5, 5-10, I am not stupid and don't believe these police reports I have read about one which stated a single 5' plant can give 3Kg of bud just a guess please if you need to specify strain light etc)

6) About this website. Are there any pictures of people's stashes of stored bud how much etc?

7) I truely don't believe that the police could find out as I will be telling no one of this little venture except you good people who take the time to read this thread and my future grow-journal. If I stick to that rule and sort out any smells what other things can get you caught?

8) I am from the UK general advice regarding cannabis and the UK? Law/Growing conditions

That will do for now :-)

Hope to hear what you guys have to say!

1. none
2. You really should try and smoke it first, just a hit or two and see if you'd even like it.
3. There is a difference in strains (Whole lot of info there, search strains, and search out indica and then sativa)
4. Quantity depends on need, and what strain you end up growing and how its grown.
5. There are outdoor plants in California that yield 6-10 pounds from a single plant. Indoor can yield a pound no problem.
6. Tons of pics, just search
7. Telling no one is a good start, if you end up buying growlights the basement is a good place to grow. Police Flir systems can only see the outside temps of your building so for instance if you had an attic and decided to grow in it, if you didn't insulate it and vent it carefully the heat can be seen on the outside.

You crack me up. Sweetie you need to be in the cooking with cannabis section. There they will answer all of your righteously indigantious questions and give you some recipes so you can get your groove on with some yummy scones and the holiday cookies are wonderful. Lastly I think you should look into a vaporizer. It takes all of the danky smell out of ingestion and is a sanitary product. You might like it. All the best. db

1: no long term effects
2:cookings great although it is thought to be a different more potent drug when digested??? still good
3:all strains are different but some similar, you need expirience to know what is good for you; its different for everyone. thats why if it was legalized it would be easier to be matched with your bud strain...... i just had and epiphnay that in the future there will be a match.com but for bud i.e. budmatch.com,,
4:depends on how many cookies you eat but ive seen 40 grams go into i think it was 4 sticks of butter so 10 grams per stick but since your new to it try 5g's per stick and go from there.
5:if you buy the right strain one plant can be enough for a batch of potent cookies for a month although if your growing one you might aswell grow 5 haha, but like i said research a seed bank to read about the strains and what you recive from that plant i.e. type of high hight, amount of bud; it can keep going to where it originated from to make your environment the same as where it grows best.
6:idk.... look on youtube at bud stash it gets crazy... alot of f'ing bud.
7: dont leave any parafanelia? around for cops or anyone to see, and remember you get amune to the smell of light smell of bud when others can smell a f'ing morsel of the sh$t

Haha alright fair enough, I thought the newbie section might just cover such stupid questions :P

I really hope I didn't offend. I truely didn't mean to take that tone and I hope you don't take it that way I meant to ask these questions as someone who is ill informed and has no experience in the matter.

Thanks so far to everyone really appreciate individuals thoughts as I can happily sit down and digest a book on the subject, but then that is one person's thoughts. I like lots of opinions :-)

Keep them coming, also perhaps some answers to things you think I should be asking?
