A buddy and I are taking a week long backpacking trip (no pun intended) in colorado and we decided, how fun would it be to fry or nuts off on some shrooms. Is this a good idea or am i asking for a darwin award.

believe me, if i new girls who were willing to backpack for a week, they would be invited. And my girlfriend doesnt smoke or anything so there was no sense in bringing her since smoking and tripping are what we plan on doing.

It would be fine to trip on shrooms, just make sure you set up camp before you start tripping! My best trips have always been when I'm camping.

New plan for next year.....half a sheet of acid, 1/4 lb of shrooms, 10 buttons of peyote, 1lb kind bud, and a 1-way ticket to colorado. That would be sick. I've known people who have gone to quarries (spelling could be way off) and hiked around them tripping. And I know people who live in Colorado in the mountains but they've never tripped and hiked, just tripped and chilled out, looking at the scenery. Never heard of any problems with the elevation. Air is thinner so I would try not to overexert yourself

I know someone who wants me to go camping in Wyoming... I told her, only if she gets a whole lotts shrooms... At least I offered to bring the bud... heh.
Sounds like a blast, as I've only tripped inside for the most part...

Elevation does affect you if you don't acclimatize for a few days first, other than that, mountains r fun as hell to trip in!! And you can only stay a 14,000 ft for a few hours EARLY in the morning, as colorado boasts some insane storms, and at the elevation, you would be dead when lightning struck or thunder cracked, so shoot for more around 8 or nine thousand for elevation.

Indipow...where do you get you information. That is ridiculous. You are safe at 14000 feet, just don't over-exert yourself.
