Trimming. They call them "LEAVES" for a reason.

LOL, tough crowd in here. If you need "proof" that smoking the leaves is bad then read The Emperor Wears No Clothes by Jack Herer. You can view parts of the text (including what I've quoted) yourself at this link ---> http://www.art.net/~hopkins/Don/hemp/prohibition/no-clothes.html

Here's an excerpt, pay close attention to red parts and the underlining.

Lung Damage Studies

The Hype: More Dangerous Than Tobacco

The Berkeley marijuana carcinogenic studies of the late 1970s concluded that "marijuana is one-and-a-half times more carcinogenic than tobacco."

This is only true if you compare the smoke from the broad leaf of the tobacco to the broad leaf of the marijuana plant, which is how the government does it.

The Facts: Not If You Smoke the Buds

The marijuana flowers have one third or less carcinogenic tars as tobacco leaf, and virtually all the carcinogens can be removed by using a water pipe system. Our government omitted this information and its significance to the results of such studies when speaking to the press.

I am equally as skeptical about this as the guy above me. Whatever nutrients and/or carcinogenic substances that exists in the leaf must have also entered the buds considering they both are connected to the main stem and absord the same things. Unless you are suggesting that these carcinogens orginate within the leaves. Maybe just by virtue of what the leaves are made of. Are you suggesting that?
I don't understand your logic here. Just because the leaf and bud feed from the same nutrients doesn't mean they are made of the same materials. Are your eyeballs and your toenails made of the same thing just because they are both parts of your body?

Trichomes get you high, not the "buds". There just happens to be a higher concentration of trichs on the buds. If they're densely packed on the sugar leaves, why not leave them? Unless you want to use the trim for something else. Otherwise you're just throwing away plenty of smoke.

Covered? Keep 'em. Green? Clip 'em.

Here's a pic of how I trim my buddleys. My theory is, if you can see a leaf and its big enough to chop off without removing any bud, its history. I make hash out of all the leaves anyways. To you pro leaf guys, try smoking a few bowls of them and tell me how ya feel haha!

yeah im gonna trim my nugs all the way down, i hate leaves nuthn worse hen a trim joint haha, and for some reason alot of marijuana clinics give out free trim joins as some complimentary gift but its not ever worth smoking, better jus trim the leaves all the way down regardless of the trichs and then dry and cure the leaves and shit and make oil then make urself some honey buds,

always use as much of the plant as possible, dnt just throw away ur trim!! its way useful
