I recently got a clone that was a motherplant NYC diesel, this is my first grow. She is about 4-5 feet long growing in 6 gal pot at an angle, but she had some clones removed prior to me receiving her, now those lower stems and branches ( lower 1/3 of plant are bare no leaves or sign of life rest is recovering from stress and a nute burn from failed foilar spraying but is recovering. I plan to transplant into the ground once she is a healthy bush currently she is in full sun getting watered every to every other day. Should i trim the almost dead looking branches ?or will they? recover the stalk is fine. ill post pics soon

sure the light is penetrating down that far? if you are using cfls they just prob need more light down there. If the branches are green man might as well leave them be

Grab some clones from whatever branches are still healthy. I'm willing to bet its massively rootbound too. The original owner had that thing for a time I'm assuming. Personally I would go for cloning and not waste time or resources on it as is.

I will second what grumpy said, Take some clones, In 1-3 weeks you'll have roots and a brand new plant, That one looks past its prime, sorry.

Clones are real easy i'll break it down real simple like,

Tools:
Gallon ziplock bag, Scissors, rooting hormone (optional), Rockwool/ Tinypot with soil/ RapidRoot plugs/ Some kind of medium

Okay find a nice healthy branch on that lady
Cut her at a 45 degree angle 3-4 nodes below the growing tip
Cut 2-3 of those nodes leaves off, I like to leave one or two leaf sets, To each their own.
Stick some rooting powder/ gel on the stalk. (optional)
Make a hole in whatever you are using as medium for the clones stalk, Even if there are pre make holes i recommend making another hole.
Put the clone medium/ container/whatever inside the gallon baggy, Zip it till you only have a little corner unzipped, Breath into it till its about to pop, Seal it and put it under your light, I open the bag and repeat every day, I have had 100% success.

Need any help? Pm me, Good luck, Happy growing, Stay high!

Plus rep for the write up hill. I usually go into detail knowing he was new and may have needed the info for cloning, but I'm heavily medicated and on my phone so isn't as easy to do a write up or even link post. Lol.

You can still keep it alive as a little expirement or project but u shud start taking clones off of it..it looks old.

Thanks grumpy appreciate it man, I'd rep you but gotta spread some around, sorry lol.

You can defiantly still keep her alive i wouldn't expect much of a yeild but you'll get some smoke., If its gonna be in the woods and in you arn't planing on moving it, consider cutting the bottom of the pot off and loosening up some of the native soil under the pot, maybe bury the pot a few inches so it doesn't topple over.
