Trimming before harvest question...

Hi everybody, I was hoping to get get some simple input on whether or not I should cut branches or trim leaves prior to harvest. I'm one day from placing my DP Orange Bud plant into 48 hours of darkness. It looks really healthy and I'm expecting a yield in the area of a half ounce. (17 days of veg) I haven't fed it nutrients in two weeks and have recently cut back on water. This is a soil grow and the plant has it's own 46 watt CFL. An last minute advice would be appreciated, but i'm particularly interested on whether or not I should cut off the branches. Is there a special way of going about doing so? I'll post pictures of the harvest if anyone is interested. Thanks.

P.s. I'm in a cofee shop anddon't have internet at home, so a speedy response will be rewarded with props or respect or whatever it is that button says... :-P:leaf:

you cut the branches off at the main stem then trim them then hang them in a well ventilated dark space...good luck with that :^)

if the lower branches dont look like they will come to anything i cut them off, it then put all its energy into the top and can fill out real nice and fat, you dont have to go crazy on it just use some common sense.

Ps get us a coffee and 2 bacon rolls please.

I somewhat 'lollipop'd' the plant already and it turned out well. All the bud is along the main stem of the plant. If I cut the branches the bud will still be there. I'm basing this question on pictures I've seen, but I want to know if there's any benefit to cutting the branches off early, leaving only the bud. (3 days left) Thanks.

not really....not if you are going to harvest in 3 days....but some people might say that shocking your plants before harvest can make them a little more resiny

No, a plant produces and stores light in the branches. If you cut them it triggers new growth which not only would take energy from the bud product, but I have actually seen buds dry up on a plant that had no foliage which I relate to the plant stealing energy from the buds much like it normally would from the leafs. It's decent thinking, your just a little late to be doing it.
