I think your right maryjane123, they need more time. I may hit them with another shot of nutes b4 starting a full on flush. the bud i pulled was not a top cola but up toward the top. After further inspection i have concluded theses buds have a lot more filling in to do. The bud i picked is almost dry enough to smoke and i trimmed all the leaves last night for my hash pile. Can't wait to see how it is!

Thanks a lot Weed Monkey! That means a lot to me! This is my first legitimate attempt at growing some decent smoke. I have dabbled in the past but never had the proper environment, nutes or equipment. I am looking to grow a few every so often so i never have to look on the street again. I'm tired of the hastle and BS gone through just to score a decent bag. Plus i love the challenge of figuring out these plants, it's fun! What i have figured out so far is to stick to the basic fundamentals, do what makes sense, research a shit ton and dont over do it, especially with nutes!

The scissors I have suck. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type and brand of pruning scissors i should use to harvest these?

Ya bro if you still need to flush then you have another week anyway, clip a little bud off the bottom and smoke it, you will see why you will need to flush.. You did a kick ass job so far don't blow it at the end... NICE JOB PEACE

I'm going to let two of them keep going with feeding's and the third one is getting cut after a week and a half flush. It now has plenty of amber in the trich's while the other two are still mostly clear with a lot of white hairs yet. Being that they are all from different seed's(same strain though) they may require different amount's of time to mature. Check the three bud pics above, the first two are the ones I am continuing to feed and the third is the one with a lot of amber. Upon feeling them and doing a little squeeze test, I noticed the third one feels more dense and swollen as well. From my research on this strain, they shoud go around 9 to 10 weeks. I'm on day 60 or 61 right now, so things are looking to be right on target. As I type I'm rethinking feeding the other two plants and instead starting their flush as well.

Orite mate, if I where you I would flush wit just water & if u can get it molasse , however be careful not to soak the plants, I usually give 3 times the amount of water I usually feed with & make sure not to drown the plants.

As you have done really well this far, would be a shame to spoil it at the end. Have you got some jars for the cure & somewhere you can dry out your bud.

All the best mate:joint:

I soaked them last night with water and clearex and then let them drain real well. I forgot to add some molasses, so i will add some in a few days when the soil dries back out. I have a separate room to dry and have some canning jars for the cure.

To answer your question Businessman, I'm using an aircooled 600w HPS. They were vegged for several weeks under CFL while doing some topping and stem mutilation. The soil is basic cheep stuff with perlite mixed in, I have switched to fox farm soils for my next wave of plants. They are now 63 days into flower or 9 weeks along. I am currently flushing them and will pick in a week or so. I picked a few small buds a few days back and they hyave now dried enough to smoke! It was a little harsh but the had a nice uplifting high. I suppose the taste will come on and the harsh will ware off as it cures.
