Trichomes are getting there, the hairs aren't

My trichomes are cloudy as hell, but my pistils are still white. I'll wait, but if the trichomes turn amber and the pistils are still white what should I do?

tricomes are where it is at.. the hairs normally are just indicators. they really are nothing else though.. the feeling you get from smoking comes from the trichomes, not the hairs :) once the trichomes are amber, you are all set.. at least imo..

I have Cheisel from big buddha seeds. I know that I should judge the trichomes, but what should I do if they are ready and the hairs are not?

Thats why the trichomes are the last thing you should look at when determining when to harvest. I know you hear about "20% amber trichs" in every fifth post here at Rollitup, but the plant will physically let you know that it is done first.

Wait till it looks done, then worry about trichs. If there is still some clear, then go ahead and wait, but if you've got plenty of cloudy and amber, go and chop.

the color of the pistils has almost absolutely nothing to do with thc production by the trichomes. if your trics are where you want them to be development wise chop em, dont worry about the hairs not having turned. after you harvest the pistils will turn red/brown as they dry

Thats true, but you still want to see some the of the pistil growth die off...otherwise, those juicy pistils make the herb take longer to dry, prone to mold...and I think pulling when pistils are still white affects the flavor. Just my opinion.
