Trich Question

Will the cold stop turning trichomes amber? My friend has a couple that are taking forever. Will the cold temps slow down the process? Mostly cloudy with about 10-15 % amber but not many red pistils, mostly white and trichs are cloudy but still looks like it has time. Some trichs have toppled over...mean anything? Temps are 60's day and 40's night. Thanks

...40's?...that sounds alittle cold to me...I grow indoors...I let my room get cooler at night close to harvest, like 64...but 40 is probable not good...imo.
...mostly cloudy with 15% amber...i
d tell him to chop em down before it gets any colder...more will change as they dry...( I'll probable take shit for that one..lol)

It's a waiting game...not much sun left either but there is still plenty of green foliage on it. Just by looking at it it's too early. Going on week 14. Have to hold out a bit I think on it though...Wondering how cold is too cold for them to finish. The cold could stunt it I imagine but wondering how that would effect the trichs and potency. Thanks for the input bro. Anyone knowledgeable?

Guess I found something people don't have much knowledge about? Temps effects on trichs, Some trichs have toppled over. Any reason why? It's all in my posts.

Low temps slow the entire plants growth, including the trichomes. Extended freezing will damage them.

No frost, but night time temps are in the 40's. Some leaves have turned purple from one night when it was in the 30's my friend told me. If it doesn't freeze you think they can survive?

I grew several different strains of bagseed this year. Yes they can survive a frost. Im from the midwest. Normal temps have been 40-60 during the day and 25-40 during the night.I cut parts of the plants in stages. The ones that I cut later have alot of broken trichs. I assume its from freezing. The ones I cut earlier, (I think it was too soon)Ive smoked and have a short lasting cerebral high. I think there a mix of sativa and indica. Im still waiting to try the ones I cut later.(still curing) I actually have a cold induced purple plant still outside. Its a clone. Ive already cut the mother plant and it wasnt purple. If your not sure try some of your plant and see if you like the effects. Your in CA so you have more time to wait then I did. If I were you I would wait.
