Hi, Ive just popped some sweet seeds black jack auto and 1 plant has 3 leafs at each stage including the first embryonic set instead of the normal 2. Whats that all about then..thanks

It is just a different phenotype. nothing to worry about. As long as its healthy.

Dude you've got yourself a trifoliate or aka whorled phyllotaxy: Check it out. I had one plant which turned out to be a three leafer, she ended up dieing though this was my own doing (LOL) If yours ends up like mine did all the nodes will be alternating. Some also say the three leafed girls are bigger yeilders, lets just hope this is true!

I got the same thing goin on a skunk plant ...female...its gonna equal a few more bud sites

I won't dig up the picture, but I had a Blueberry do this.
I grew it out and the yield was not that good.

I talked to a breeder who said that it was a bout 1 in 10,000 plants. He said he just kills them as they do not yield well.

This is just a story from a guy on the interweb. You might yield more, who knows.
It may be completely variety dependent. Maybe I fucked my plant up, who knows?

any 3 leafed plant i've grown came out large and potent.
my girls scout cookies plants have this 3 leaf trait and
are growing big. some og's have the 3 leaf trait also.

Hello again, Well my little black jack is still alive, shes only about 4 inches high and has developed 3 main stems. I thought she'd be one stem with 3 bud sites each node ??
