TreeTop Growing !! ( ultra stelth)!!

i have known of a great way for growing outdoors for years now, and i have not once seen a thread on here about my method. i thought i would share my knowledge, for you growers who have never thought of this.
My method is growing your plants at the top of a tree or trees.
by growing at the top of a tree, your plants will recive a great deal of light, that is not availible on the ground.

there are a few different ways to grow your plant at the top of a tree.
one is to grow your plant in a bucket, and set it up on a pully system. the advantage of using a pully system is that you dont have to climb to the top of the tree to check your plant. if its on a pully, you only have to only climb, say 10 feet, then lower your bucket on the pully system, do what is needed, then send it back to the top.
to decide on a tree; find a tree that has low branches, so you can climb into the tree. you just need a tree that is easy to climb. and has a nice canopy.

once you have the tree you will use; then you have to climb to the top, and find the spot where your bucket/plant will rest.
the spot where your plant should be, should be as close to the top of the tree as possible, if not the very top. you should clear out any main branches that will be blocking light from your plant.
if done properly, you plant will recive tons of light, and will grow Huge!, and simply replace the top of a tree.
if you find a tree that is easy to climb all the way to the top, you dont even need a pully system. just somehow keep your bucket mounted at the top of the tree. i found a way in my tree, to just wedge the bucket in place, and it sits upright.
if you decide to grow in the tops of trees, you dont have to grow just one plant. i found it very easy to grow 4 plants per tree. you can also grow in more than just one tree. you could grow in 5 trees, and have 3 plants in each. or you could grow in 5 trees, with one plant in each. its really up to you, and the tree you picked.
a 6 foot tall plant, isnt even the least bit noticeable sticking out of the top of a tree, i really think this is a great method, if you dont want to risk getting caught, or your crop stolen. also using this method, you will get very large, very potent buds, if done correctly.

Tips: if you are using a white bucket to grow in; you should camoflauge the bucket to match the tree, make your bucket the two main colors of the tree your growing in. find spray paint that is close to the color of the bark of the tree, and the green leaves. if done right, your bucket will be virtually invisible.
also, if you use a pully system: use green ropes, and spray paint the pullys, so they dont shine.

well good luck to anyone who uses my method...its a great one. have fun yall

You can also use burlap sax's filled with soil. easier to mount in tree's than bucket's and no paint needed. the burlap act's like a wick soaking up the morning dew. Watch out for bird watchers and people who also know about growing in trees. We have talked alil about tree's in one of my threads. I have heard of a kid in my town getting busted for growing in tree's. But if you can doit all the power to you. HAPPY GROWING

wow, i love the burlap idea. thats friggin great....i dont know why i never thought of that.
the only thing is, a burlap sack would kind of stick out a little bit more than a camoflauge bucket. if you do your spray painting right, the bucket really does seem invisible from the ground.
but hey, whatever works for ya, works.

I have thought about this, it was well documented on overgrow, but i see a few problems, to get to the top of the tree, close enough to outreach the trees canopy, you would either have to cut all the thin branches out and mount it to the highest branch that could hold it, or find a tree that has thick branches all the way to the top. the second flaw i worry about, is that when autum comes, all the leaves will fall from the trees, and 3 buckets with 6 foot plants in them would stick out pretty easily. all in all though it does intrige me, as it always has, i might have to try one or two, make a little grow log, it will be one of many growlogs im planning for this summer...

also you can buy precamoflauged burlap and sacks for hunting, or you could spray paint them just as easy as a bucket.

im pretty sure i saw it in the hunting section at walmart, along with camo duct tape, when it gets down to it, i bet you could go to jo ann fabrics and buy a bolt of realtree hunting camo cloth, and sew your own grow bags.

your welcome;
but as long as you pick a Green tree, then your green plant will not stick out.
im sure there is some difference in the greens, but not enough of a difference that anyone could tell.
now people are thinking!!....camo burlap... thats a good idea.

yea, if you are going to use this method; you kinda have to go on a little tree hunt. i looked around for a few hours in the woods untill i found a few perfect trees. you will need a tree that has a good sized trunk, which means it will have big/strong branches. you want this type of tree so it has branches that can support your weight. obviously you need to find a tree that you can reach the top. my advice, just keep looking for that perfect growing tree... and you will find it. also, look for a tree with low branches, so you can get into the tree.....duh :)
if you find the " perfect tree" and you cant get a bucket to stay at the top, then i would use the camo burlap. just make sure that your bag of soil is up in the tree good, as in stable and it wolnt fall down.

if you run into a problem while trying to do treetop growing, dont give up, just think about a way around the problem. for the most part, tree top growing is easy...just dont be stupid.

I would say be careful We had an ice storm here not long ago and even the tree branches that don't look damaged can be weakened from the pressure of the ice on them.

hmm...?
i dont know many people that grow in the winter....come to think of it, i dont know anyone that grows outdoors in the winter.
soooo as long as you grow in the right season, i dont think you have to worry about ice storms......if thats what your saying.

Dude I can't tell you how wierd it is that I find this post today, because I swear just a few days ago I was trying to think of the ultimate stealth tactic, and that was the one I thought of! I haven't put any serious thought into it mind you but I did think of this, and it was just a few days ago to! SO wierd you posted this...

I would think bugs would be more of a problem in trees cuz then you got termites, pine beatles, all that shit. I aint gonna knock this before I try it or anything though, it just seems so complicated its kind of a... intimidating idea. I had no idea so many people were already doing this lol. Kind of like me finding out today that my million dollar idea I had over the weekend was already thought of lol.
