trash?

so this is my first harvest, unclear if i should have been pulling these leaves off during flowering or not, either way, do i just trash this, or is there anything i can do with it?

Trash it.

Big Fan leaves are usually pretty useless regarding thc content.

You could try and make butter but I doubt it'd work very good ortaste very good they look unhealthy.

Personally I trash the fan leaves, either pulling them off as they yellow or snipping them off at harvest. I save the sugar leaves & popcorn nugs (dry trim) for budder. Some folks use the fan leaves for edibles, etc., but I don't think it's worth the trouble.

You can make oil but it will be really green and thick, It's not really worth keeping the fans as there is not much medicine in them and the oil you do get is green and thick(just bubbles and doubles in size when you try to smoke it). I throw the fans out.

You could extract oils from poop if you wanted to....point being its a waste of time, theres nothing there.

Guess you should have stated that in your post. And it may be a waste of time to you but there may be members out there that can't afford to be wasting their weed and will make oil from fans. To say it can't be done then to repost something different is laughable at best.

I use fan leaves for coconut canna caps for those wanting the CBD's but not the high...and for topical use...just how I roll...gonna look into juicing soon...hth

I keep all my leaves to make a mulch for next year, or you could also throw it in a compost pile. OR as others have said, toss it.

I used to save the fans as well but it is just not worth the effort for me to do anything with them. But I'm not saying it won't get you high just not worth the effort for me.

nah, won't get you high... but like I said I use it for mulch, if you like organics, mulch is your buddy.

I always liked the idea of pressing them and making a nicely bound "photo album" of strains

Certainly wouldn't waste my time processing them though.

I throw the fan leaves away and clip the brown edges off any unhealthy looking leaves into the trash. I also cut off tips that look like they don't have much resin. There's generally a lot less resin on the tips of leaves, so I like to get rid of them.

After those are discarded, I trim the rest into a newspaper and keep it for hash.
