i was thinking of growing 1 plant through the winter inside and using a big rubbermaid trash barrel with a lid and coating the inside with mylar. prob gonna use CFL lights to keep it cool inside (and cost down)

think this will work good?

probally going to use a 5 gal bucket 3/4 full of soil

for a light im prob gonna just use a plant light from home depot (not sure if its a CFL or not)

for air flow im going to buy 2 small PC fans this should keep air fresh inside the barrel and i will leave them on 24/7

as far as nutes and watering i havent decided. and smell may become a issue if it does i will prob vent the fans outside somehow.

That first light is absolutely terrible. 120 watts, 270 lumens? Don't bother....

Make a "light bar" out of a power bar and some y adapter light sockets..... use something like this....

thanks for your imput and time, how many of them u think i should get? 4 in the top or 1 in top and 3 around the sides?

also will that be asufficient lighting for flower? i know MH is the way to go but i think the heat is going to be too much for a confines space.

1 plant? 4-6 would work probably...

You need 4-6 2700k CFL's, and 4-6 6500k CFL's..... you change the bulbs when you switch from veg to flower....

One is a "white-ish" daylight, for vegging, and the other has more of a "yellow-ish" warm color, for flowering....

Fimming and topping work really well with scrog...

I believe someone on here made a prototype of a scrog screen built onto a 5 gallon bucket....

i can already picture how i will build it, im going to use a square barrel opposed to a round one (think it will make many aspects of the project easier, like putting fans in and such) i really just want a trash barrel full of weed....now that would be fkin cool lol.
