I don't think it will be all that diffirent from over there.. our bags decay after very little time outside... You can put the bag down somewhere, but it will tear when you try to move it again.

lol dude, if you use some black hefty bags for growbags youll be growing some fuckin legend status monster plants, lol. Fill the bitch up at least halfway with soil man, n then sinch the fuckin top up, so everything is nice n packed in. Put your seedling right in the opening, and let that fucker BEAST OUT, lol. Thats actually a fuckin sweet ass experiment to do now that i think about it. I gotta wait until this grow im doin now is done though cuz ill probably only have room to do one plant in my tent, as opposed to the 10 im growin now, lolol. There is so much potential in growing a plant in a trash bag or in a 20 gallon rubbermaid tub with soil man. HUGE potential, lol. youll be lookin a little closer to an outdoor type of yield if you let her veg for a nice long 8 weeks, and then pull her trigger. N top her like 3 times, lol. Youll have a LEGEND plant man. just make sure your using some good genetics, just to top it all off.

If your just lookin for convenience rather than growing out one massive plant, its like 30 cents a bag, if you buy 10 3-5 gallon growbags itll only cost you like 3 bucks, so for multiple plants the growbags are the way to go. iF your lookin for one monster, then use a trashbag and messege my ass with the link, lol. If you got room for multiple trashbags, MESSEGE ME WITH THE LINK :fire: --lol, sorry man, ive seen it done once and just lookin at the plant got my fuckin rocks off, hehe.

i would use the bags designed for growing, when you move a trash bag it deforms pretty bad and besides once the plant gets big it will have a tendancy to want to tip over, i used some years ago and it was nothing but trouble, you can buy plastic bags designed for growing super cheap so thats the way to go, plus they have holes already

I use grow bags at times and they work great, but using trash bags does not sound like it would work. Do you have a pic of the ones you want to try?

grow bags are $.35 atmy local hydro store and they are designed to stand up. You are probably better off just springing the 35 cents and getting some grow bags

do you put the bags in the ground? and if so why? why not just put your soil in the ground and let the plant grow normal without the bags?

I always grow mine straight out of the potting soil bag with the bag inside a flower pot.
I turn the bag upside down, cut the bottom of the bag, fit it into the pot, then turn it back upright and cut the top of the bag completely open, pack the soil down till it takes the shape of the pot, then transplant my favorite plant into the potting soil bag.
