transplanting outside?

have about 12 plants in TWO pots and need to transplant them because they look like they are killing eachother
they're about two months old, and still kinda small, about a foot (some, others smaller)
i want to keep them outdoors and place them separately, so they have room to grow
how should i go about doing this without damaging the roots??

12 plants in 2 pots, I don't know if it's possible to separate the roots they might be too entangled. If I were you I would stick them in 12/12 and sex them inside, kill all the males and then try to separate the remaining plants. how big are the pots?

Yeah it's gonna be a pretty big clusterfuck trying to sort out those roots. It's going to be impossible to do it without causing some damage.

So how big are the pots? They must be pretty big for the plants to have gotten to a foot.

lmao the pots are small, actually.
i would say about 2 feet by 6 inches.
they're doing remarkable though, i might add.
'cept they should be a little bigger, but they're healthy and all.
so i should take each plant and carefully excavate it from the soil then replant them in different pots 50/50?
thanks for the advice ;)
