transplanting from aero cloner

Hi guys. I'm currently getting ready to change my medium from rockwool flock to something with better drainage and aeration. I also have wanted to change my cloning method for a while, as 130 clones all in one day then watering individualy just takes up so much time. I have an aero cloner but what I'm wondering is what you guys think is the best medium to go for. I don't want to have to use anything other than a pot full of medium to transplant into. I was thinking perlite would be good or hydroton. Does anyone transplant in this way.? I figured I'd just be able to take a well rooted clone from my cloner and gently place it a couple inches down in the perlite then cover roots up? Would the plants stand ok until they get a big enough rootmass.

Transplanting:

I would go with neoprene.. depends what type of system you are transplanting to.

If you are doing NFT, then neoprene,

sam with dwc if roots are long enough to touch water

Cloning method:

Same thing, go see stinkbuds cloning method. you can build a cloner with as many sites. Just slip them in the neoprene collars and you are go to go

I should of mentioned I'm running flood and drain tables and pots of media. I don't like net pots cos eventually roots will grow out and get tangled which is a logistical nightmare when it comes to moving/rotating plants

I'm trying to move towards aero cloning, cube cloning is wher I'm at now and its a pain to water all those cubes. I wanna transplant straight from aerocloner to a loose medium without the use of cubes. Thanks for suGgestion tho mate

you canuse neoprene leting the root hang ...for the cloning and then when they are ready to be transplanted you put the net pots in a big foam plate which cover the entire table with cutouts depending on net pot size

I'm not sure this would be the move for me. My plants are in 6" pots packed tightly 4psf. If I did this surely there wouldn't be as much rootspace. How ofted would you flood with a setup like this? I'd imagine that if the foam iswater repellent then you'd have to flood pretty much constantly to stop roots from drying out. Thanks for the advice it has planted an idea in my brain. Not quite sure what it is yet but there's definatly something there I can use in future.
