well i just harvested a small crop recently n i discovered that i had transplanted them into larger pots for nothing. when i pulled the roots out i noticed that they hadnt even grown into the new soil. im thinking its cuz i transplanted after i started flowering. i also heard somewere that ur supposed to cut or break the rootball so that the roots grow out. if anybody has any info or input it would be greatly appreciated.

verry gently loosen the soil a bit apart from that a bit of water make sure not to break to much roots and root growth is most active around full moon

Roots are pretty strong things, you can cut roots back to stimulate additional root branching (similar to air pruning roots) as long as you don't chop of the main tap root from the plant. I have dropped whole root balls before loosing half of the roots and the plants have bounced back with even better results at times.

Good luck, DST
