So i have a grand daddy purple plant that has been vegging inside an indoor cabinet for a little longer than 2 months under 400w of flouro lights. Inside a DWC. i don't have an how for flowering yet and i figured since flowering season is here id just move my system and plant outdoors to flower . But now since I've moved it outside all the leaves have started to droop. not a sickly droop just a slight one. could it simply be stress from moving it outside from the indoors? My pH is constantly monitored and stays at 5.8. My feeding schedule hasn't really changed other than I'm using bloom nutes instead of veg nutes.

what do you think?

Sunlight is significantly more intense than fluorescent lighting. It is quite likely that your plant is experiencing a bit of shock. In addition, fluorescent lighting doesn't penetrate the canopy nearly as much as sunlight does, so your plants are getting stronger light, and in more places.

Google "hardening off"

Move your plants to a shady area for a few days, then gradually give them a bit more sun each day. This should be done over the course of a week or two.

Another possibility is that your root zone is getting too much heat. What kind of container is your DWC in? Think of ways to insulate your solution from the heat of the sun. A sealed bucket of water in the sun can reach upwards of 120 degrees, which is pretty terrible for the roots of any plant.

If you can't solve the reservoir heat problem, you could be looking at a possible crop failure. You could consider transplanting to a soil or soil-less media. Fabric pots are great for keeping root temperatures down-- they don't hold heat like plastic. Smartpots and C.A.P gropots are both great.

Soil is a good option for container gardening outdoors, but if you would like to keep a hydro setup you could try coco. It feels like soil but behaves like hydro.
