transition count towards flower?

recently i was told i count my Weeks wrong and that transition dose not count towards flower. now i have always started counting day 1 of bloom when the light cycle changes to 12/12. so am i wrong? i like to hear what others have to say on this. thanks to all for any info

I think most start the count from light swtich over.

I start counting days of flower at the 12/12 switch.

Nah that seems logical to me that u would start to keep track of ur flowering period from when the lights change to 12/12, only thing I can think is whoever was talking about the time period between veg and flowering if u gradually change ur light cycle to get shorter and shorter like from 20/4, then 18 or w/e and so on. So maybe that what they mean cause I start my count from when I reach 12/12 like u, but not when I'm increasing my dark cycle from 24 or 20/4 or w/e ur prefrence is.

if u switch to 12/12 and theyre alrdy showing than ya thats when u count but until u see sex u shudnt start counting

The same question was puzzling me for a while and I could not find the definitive answer. But after reading a bunch on different message boards and comparing the opinions I came to the conclusion that the right time to count is when you see sex on 12/12 cycle.
For example if you see signs of sex before you switch to 12/12 your day one for flowering will be the day you switch to 12/12. If this is not the case w8 until you see sign of sex and start counting.

I saw pre sex flowers on most of my strains in veg so.... Also, it get confusing if you wait for sex to show, because some strains show later and your ability to see sex will be different than anothers. When you flip is definite, so I think that is the best way
