since i know absolutely nothing in this matter....i was wondering, let's say u go in somebody's yard, pull out the plant, n bring it home n replant in ur own yard. would that work?? i can understand it would probably not because of...total change to amount of light, soil, water, n everything. but how long do u think it would last atleast??

Well you can do it but the problem is with maryjane plants their roots are usually deeper into the ground than the height of the plant. So take a shovel and make a circle and dig around the plant going as deep as possible to make a root ball. You might want a burlap sack or pot to put it in to protect what roots you can take. But the plant will definitely need a few weeks to get going strong again. Give it water everyday for a few days after transplantation.
