Trainwreck yield?

I have one trainwreck plant under a 250w hps. She is about 4ft tall, and has been growing anywhere from 4 to 6 months. The plant has been flowering for a while and i got it from a friend when it started.
He said i could get up to 8ounces from it...I was wondering what anyone else thought...

yup, 8 ounces is probably the most you'll get from it. that would be 1g for every 1w of electricity used which is considered good.

sounds good, i would be VERY happy with 8 ounces! I am shooting for 5 or 6

I was also wondering if i'd be a good idea to cut off some of the larger fan leaves in order to get the bottom buds more light. The plant has been flowering for a couple weeks and i want to know if its a good idea to cut off some fan leaves.

Yessir...it wouldn't be a bad idea. Only the huge fan leaves though. Just don't go crazy and start clippin' shit you need. lol

dude if you want to yield 8 ounces with a 250hps , you better look at this thread and all of the pictures. if you font you might yield 2.5 ounces

dont cut the fan leaves unless your happy with a possible lil yield.

Thanks aladdin. I will take a look at that thread. But shouldnt i get more than 2.5oz if it vegged for a while and is the only plant sitting under a 250w.
Also if its already a good amount into flowering how would cutting some fan leaves hurt the yield? Wouldnt It help the yield by letting the bottom buds soak up more light?

i have 4 perpetual under a 250hps and vegged for 2 months. look at that thread and let me know what you think? no, the plant knows what she needs best than we do for that initiative. theres energy that is green in that leaf she will use for packing weight on the buds. rearange the leaves, tuckthem or whatever. only remove yello ones that pull with ease!

I will thanks bro! I will try to post some pics soon, however my camera sucks and the light in my grow space fucks up my camera. I'll do my best.

The last picture gives you a better idea of how big the plant is, the pot is a 5 gallon pot. The camera sucks so the pics suck, but how much do you think she could yield?

Also the first two pics make the plant look like a weird color, its doesnt...the light and the camera just make it look strange.

Any ideas? any help is greatly appreciated

looks super great trainwreck! i estimate 3 zips. maybe more. what day flower is she on? she is in a big pot and you took good care of her as it appears. Your gonna be happy camper soon! are you aerating your nutes/water yet? if i were you, on your next grow do some lst to maximize that light on the whole plant.
you will be an even happier camper then. i'm just trying to help a grower grow.

Yea i am just feeding her straight water now. I kinda slowly took her off the nutes by decreasing the amount used and how often i used it. Shes only on plain water now. I think she has about 2 or 3 weeks left until i harvest.
I bought i microscope and have been checking the trichomes, they are all still clear. When some start to turn amber im going to harvest.
Also i see what you mean by the plant not getting all the light, but it is like that on purpose. I started to notice that the tips of the hairs were getting singed and there were some burn spots on upper leaves. The light is as high as it can go so i bent the plant a little to the right to avoid the hot direct light. Because the right side of the plant is now getting less light from the HPS, i now have two 75W CFLs on the right side which the plant seems to love.
The pictures are terrible and none of the three actually show the whole plant.
1st picture=The top cola
2nd picture= Middle and top cola
3rd picture=left side and middle, you cant see the two CFLs of the entire right side of the plant. Also all the nugs on the bottom are blocked by the dark in the picture.

I am still aiming for more than 3 Oz. I hope i reach my goal...
