Tourettes

Anyone here using MJ to manage Tourettes?

I have two patients that use for tourettes,they find that the Sativas work best for their symptoms.

Do they smoke it or use a tincture?

Well Josh is into his smoke, but he also really digs the edibles.We offer so many different application methods.

I've had luck with various strains, it seems more strain specific than whether its indica/sativa. I know California Orange Bud did well one time.

Josh and I had this talk just last week.From what I heard The heavy Indica's don't help as much as the Sativa's.

We have CA Orange.From Nirvana.

My youngest son is a Touretter, but he doesn't smoke much at all, but when he does, he was surprised to notice that his tics are greatly diminished. Unfortunately, when he's high, so is his mental capacity.

So far I have only been able to get my hands on unknown strains, friend of a friend stuff.

The tincture doesn't really do much at all. I am thinking I have to let it sit longer.

I smoked half a joint last night and it was unique to say the least.

Vocal tics were less and I was much more focused when doing a task. Very interesting. Unfortunately, I think I was too stoned for my own good.

Next time I'll just do a 1/4 of a joint and see what it is like.

my buddy says it woks great for his ticks. but when he stops smoking they come on a little more strongly.

Only when I was 15. So long ago. Since then, none. Yesterday was my first smoke. Didn't cough until halfway through, which is good. Didn't think it did anything until about 10 minutes later, then I was flyin.

Would like to avoid smoking as much as I can, want to move over to a tincuture.

For me it is echolalia. Tried Haldol, but wow is that stuff is fucked up. Talk about anxiety. Flushed those after the first week.

What's interesting in this is that I can still feel the effects this morning. Smoke at about 7:45pm last night. Had a good sleep and this morning still fell a little stoned. Is that normal?

Haldol is some HEAVY duty shit, my friend. I'd rather smoke than take that stuff. That "stoned the next morning" thing has never happened to me, but I do have a friend who says it happens to her. I can't drink much, however, and she can definitely outdrink me. So, she gets the beer and wine, I get the bong. I like it that way, m'self.

hehe, no. I have the ability to control the tics in situations. When I was a kid and didn't know I had tourettes I could have gotten in a lot of trouble as I had some OCD - I had to give people the finger. Thinking back it is kinda funny really. Just glad no one beat the shit out of me for it.

Certain tics bring the wrath of god down on some poor Touretters. My son had a tic for a while where he had to touch the TOP of people's butts. Got in BIG ass trouble for that. Oy. His first tic was rapid eye-blinking, drove his father up the wall and he would yell at him. Was a few years before we figured it out.

Classic. I can relate to those urges.

Is your son using medical marijuana to help with the tics?

No, he's not using anything. And right now his girlfriend has his knickers in a knot, so he is ticcing harder than I've seen in years. Most of his are physical and repetitive behaviors, not too much in the way of "lalias".
