Totally New to growing and Aerogarden... Simple Question!

Hi everyone. This is my first grow and my first time using the Aerogarden. It says in the manual that I should be seeing air bubbles. Well I don't. I see the water coming down the pods but no air bubbles. Is this normal or are the air bubbles not super obvious?

Thank you!!!

In theory the water dripping off the sopping wet sponges will cause an air bubble or two when it splashes.

I have had root rot, slime, algae and whatnot that tells me the air bubbles are super non-existent.

At any pet store, or walmart... Get a $10 aquarium air pump, $2 worth of Airstone, and some tubing. This will provide lots of air bubbles that you can see. Sort of like DWC deep water culture. The roots will be a LOT happier with REAL AIR.

Hydro stores have air pumps too.... but most are larger than what you will need.

If you use tap water, drop an airstone in a pitcher of water overnight to help get the chlorine out.

Thank so much! I was so worried that the Aerogarden was broken. Well, It's still a seedling. I will get an air pump and an airstone first thing Monday.

One more question about the Aerogarden... I came home last night to see that the water stopped flowing and the light was off. I know that the light goes off according to schedule but what about the water flow? I panicked and I reset the aerogarden and it restarted flowing again.

Thanks!
