Topping Question

Is topping a good idea to keep plants shorter? or will this stun them to much? should I just let them grow their own way?
I'm trying to keep them short....

topping is an excellent weigh to control height and increase yield. i'd recommend topping to produce 4 main colas, head over to the advanced cultivation forum and check out uncle ben's guides - they'll explain all

Yeah, if you want a short plant fim it or supercrop it or LST it (but that's time consuming imho). Just pinch it off or bend and smash that top, you won't regret it.

KK, I looked into topping and I'm confident now that I know how to do it and get 2 main Colas, but does any1 have a pic or a link of how to get 4 Main colas? Any Help would be Much App. THANKS!

well how tall is it and it will promote bottom growth to catch up and grow wide and it won make a plant stay short i can tell you that because i topped my plant at 20 inches when i started flowering so that means its 4 inches shy of 2 feet well now its over 5 feet tall so does that answer your question good enough ? lol. you have to last your plant to keep it short bro topping make 2 tops for main colas instead of one , and i have 16 that are all at the same height

in my opinion, i would not top anything as training can produce the same, if not better results.

no its 2 different results man . i learned that already just like topping an fimming does 2 different things as well

my setup is, 4X3 feet and about 8 feet high, with 8--42Watt cfl's and 2--13 Watt cfl's with a few fans for intake and exhaust, my first grow is going to be Bubblegum, so I want to top it for 2 top colas, maybe 4.
