Hi all. This is my first grow and she's seems to be a bushy one. I'm a bit new to growing so I'm not exactly sure when is it the right time to do either...

DON'T top her-- it removes the main cola and largest part of the flowering area of the plant... Loos like you must have FIM'd or something already?????

LST and "lollipop" her--- not actually lollipopping with LST- but it helps form the canopy....
1st- trim everything off the bottom 1/3 of every main branch and remove suckers that grow toward the center of the plant... then tie all the branches out away from the center-- the center will/should look empty and bare... that WILL change! ;)

she will form numerous mains from each branch that will grow straight up... untie her just before 12/12 and trim the undergrowth again.... ;)

Well since its your "1st grow"-- i'd advice just to grow it out as is :) You will have plenty of time to learn TOPn/SCn techniques once you have some harvests under your belt~

From the pic you posted, she looks bushy and healthy, so depending on your (grow space, lighting, grow system)-- I would just advice just to proceed with flowering~

The best advice I got when I was starting out was the K.I.S.S method, I mean-- you can apply some techniques to your plant if you really wanted, but unless you have some experience already & know-how, anything you will apply to that plant ATM will not really alter any factors substantially (like total yield).. get a couple more grows finished, then start practicing those techniques mentioned---

goodluck

Exactly what cannawizard said. First grow, looks good as she is, don't fuck with what's working.

Have fun.

Having topped, Fimd and not topped hundreds of plants, and observed side by side comparisons, I'm not convinced the practice does much to boost yield except to distribute the buds throughout multiple branches. Any observable gains in yield come from simply spreading out the predetermined potential throughout the plant, thus exposing more branches to light. Genetically however, the plants going to yield what it's going to yield. Personally I FIM as i prefer frostier, more evenly distributed weight. The only caveat to FIMming is the embarrassment of using the ridiculous term.

im a new grower, 1st time growing anything in my life. if you do enough research, i wouldnt be afraid to try any training tech. i first FIM'd 2 strains (pineapple chunk and laughing buddah from seed), the next week i lollipopped them, the next week (yesterday) i LST'd them AND took cuttings. the flip will happen next weekend.

on my other strain (nl13 or kksc?????) i supercropped the 3 of them, the next week i lollipopped them, then yesterday i LST'd AND took cuttings. flipping next weekend.

i gave each step 1 week to get adjusted and recouperate/destress. ALL my plants look very healthy. see sig for grow link if you would like to see what all ive done.

that is how super cropping is suppose work, your trying to redistribute the auxins to form a new main.

IME supercropping results in more, quality buds than topping. I will often do both as well as tying down to maintain an even canopy height. I also prune lower branches and leave only the top canopy.

And I get big enough colas when I top or super crop.

I dont understand why someone would want a huge single main cola. To take pics with? To show your friends? To provide a sanctuary for botrytis? You cut it up anyway...
