Topping and fimming

When is the best time of day to either top or fim? E.g. when lights come on, when they wake up from night cycle, etc...

I take cuttings and top whenever I feel it is appropriate, lights on or off.

It makes no difference in my experience.

However,
Lights on preferred so I can see easily.

I normally do after watering, not long after lights on. No real reason why other than I am already fucking with them then. So not saying it is when you should, but it sure doesn't seem to be when you shouldn't
