You did O.K. It will start to grow out in a week or so.
So topping makes 2 into 4 correct? if im right (from my pic) the 2 leaves on top will become my two main colas. How about the next node down will thoes leaves become main colas too make my 4 or are they to far down?

I only ask cuz if I had topped correctly and left the grown tips my 4 tops would b directly next to each other instead of space of the stem between them

Today I topped my plant on it's 5th node but i cut off the new growth as well, should I top down on more node to leave the two pistils on top or let it grow as is?
That node will not produce anything now. But the next node down will produce one on each side. If done properly you would have had 2 colas where you topped. She will be fine tho. All part of the learning curve.

What you will see as the plant grows are new branches forming at each leaf junction. Topping just forces the plant to focus on the new growth rather than getting taller. I tend to only top twice-I've done the Nebula style manifold and for me it takes to long. With the resulting 4 main colas and their side branches it can turn into a jungle, so be prepared to do some pruning.

Your fine. As long as it's not an Auto. Couple of weeks and she will show you the love.
Be fine if it was an auto as well.

You can top at any node. You don't even have to wait for 5-7 nodes. I've topped when they just had a couple sets of leaves.

It will be fine.
