Hey there guys starting my first outdoor grow have the plants started right now the seeds all popped and have a set of leaves thus far and the ones that are already out in my greenhouse have been out there for almost a month and are doing good. My question tho is when growing outside the main stem you know you can top for a couple tops or fim the plant ive done all those indoor but outdoor i need to know if its a wise desicion or if i should just let them be and get the main stem tall and then top just the branches coming off which i heard is ok outside. My though on like topping the plant for two tops is this once the thing has gigantic buds if they weigh to much could split the stem down the middle like i have seen on here when a few people topped for two main colas. I am obviously gonna tie them up and all that later in the summer before they start flowering. Also I am gonna grow like 4 in the 30 or 40 gallon smart pots and another 4 in 20 gallon smart pots then a few strains that arent as vigorous and hardy will just get planted in the ground with some roots organic dumped in the whole and filled around it. The autoflowers that i will have going are all in 3 gallon smart pots and they will be all over the place out there so theres not a bunch of plants in one spot creating attention to choppers and planes. I am legal but only to 8 plants and i like to have some variety so i gotta have a few more than what im good for. I think there will be about 12 photoperiod plants total maybe a few more also throughout the summer i have like 22 autoflower seeds i was given and a few that came as freebies that will all get planted a few weeks apart i have already started 9 of them some auto ak, fast bud, big devil, pakistany rider, and afghan kush ryder. Lol im gonna be busy with all this but in hopes that i can make enough money to make it to this years cannabis cup in amsterdam because im pretty sure it will be the last in the dam. So anyone do you top your outdoor plants or let them just grow as beanstalks?

My other question was has anyone ever used the 20 to 40 gallon smart pots i have seen some you tube videos they used a 100 gallon to 200 gallon smart pot well i dont have 150 bucks to fil the 100 gallon pot thats each pot would cost that so thats out of the question. So if anyone did use these pots how big did your plants get and was it worth it. I might try it with one plant a big ass pot i really want to get a plant with a stem big enough to make into a walking stick.
