Hey guys .. I left school today and I had been working on trying to save the life of a nearly dead weed plant my friend had passed along to me....

It was begining to have life again and if it had more time it would have been okay, but I needed to bring it on the train so i cut it from the healthiest place on the stem... it is about three inches in height from the bottom to the growing tip on the top...

my questions are will this make roots?
and is my process goign to work.... (I dipped the stem into some hormone and have been letting it sit in water in a shaded area)...

* also could i put it in soil after putting it in root hormone? or do roots did to form before soil...

It's possible, I like to put clones in enclosed thing. I just get jiffy pellet container with clear top and mist them and it stays nice and humid in the box.

For shits and giggles I took the top of a plant I just 'topped' and tried to clone it. Dipped it in root hormone and stuck it in a Jiffy peat pellet. It rooted after about 1 1/2 weeks.

Do what FirstTime said. Clear top, mist -> humid.

Keep em under lights. Maybe not directly. Mine was shaded by the topped plant but under light.
