Too many plants

After a grow last year that went nowhere, I have a new one underway that seems to be doing well at about three weeks. I currently have them in one gallon plastic pots, but they will be going into fabric pots in a couple of days.

My tent is home-brew, 2 1/2 x 3 x 6 feet. I can fit six 5 gallon pots inside, but I have seven plants. Two of them had issues sprouting, but have recovered pretty well. I know it's frowned upon, but how bad would it be to put the two smaller ones into the same pot? I'd hate to just sacrifice a healthy plant.

Have you grown six plants in that space successfully before?
Maybe that’s why your last one went nowhere.
That seems way too aggressive.
I’d grow just two in that space. Maybe three. Maybe.

I think the biggest problem was that, during the height of Covid, I couldn't find any decent soil locally. I used some horrible stuff from a normally reliable local garden center (probably all they could get). As soon as the local grow shop re-opened, I grabbed two bags of Ocean Forest. which I'm using this grow.
If I have to, I can always cull the weak sisters later.

I’m not trying to pop your bubble but 6 plants in that space is not a great idea.
Your light and space will get you a certain weight whether it’s 2 or 6 plants.
If you’re running different strains I can see the attraction.
But honestly, there’s much more that can go wrong than can go right stuffing too many plants into that space.
Two plants will love it. Three will tolerate it. Any more and you’re gonna have a bunch of overcrowded plant problems and disappointing results.

Okay, the consensus is in, and I've been schooled.

Now what to do with the extras. Too cold to put them in the ground, and no room for a bigger tent. Maybe I'll just hang up a 4 foot grow light over them. A couple of friends did this years ago (only had T8 Deluxe Cool Whites back then ;) ) with pretty good results. Well, one friend's landlord found his, so it had to be aborted.

Any other ideas? I'd hate to toss them, for sure.

If you really wanna keep them, clone them under some veg lights.
Won’t smell. No tent required.
Or, unless you have fem seeds, you’re going to get one male at least.
Pollinate a couple of buds and you’ll have seeds for next grow.
Wait for preflowers to show and pick your best plants to finish.
