Too crowded... Or not?

Hey I was just wondering about how many Autos I could put in a 24x24x64 dark room? I've seen posts about people putting 3 and 4 in that size room but the posts are a little dated and now I am seeing people only be able to put a couple plants in that size of room because they are getting so big.

Any suggestions?

I will be using 3 gallon pots. I'm ordering 4 Auto Northern Lights from Nirvana.

Also, so, is it better to keep less plants and try to let them get huge... Or more plants but risk overcrowding and not as much yield from all of them?

What about for a beginner? You still think they would be the better choices? I think two plants would be the smartest choice for me as well, I am glad you agree!!

I totally disagree. The auto northern lights from nirvana is a nice plant to grow for a beginner. I threw all the mistakes I could at it and it was a beautiful plant. I wish I would have let it go longer, but you know you get anxious. Grow is linked in my sig.

Okay guys thanks for the input, I think I will just do two in that space and then I won't have to worry about lesser yields from overcrowding and end up wasting a third seed. It definitely seemed like the NL was a hardy strain and I am just hoping to get a yield out of them at all as a beginner, lol! I would love to try the AKR as a lot of people love it, it has a bit bigger price Tag tho.

I'm going to use a Diamond Serries LED as well and I believe the two plants will really fill the area.

there is a reason it has a higher price ;) and its totally worth it fast growing and hard hitting fairly stable

I am definitely gonna think about it. The only thing that worries me is the price tag and risk of failure and then the price tag seems even worse if it's a failed yield, lol. I would love to try it.

Holy cow, I don't know that I've seen that done yet. So basically your idea is that the more space you have for each plant, the bigger they will grow? How much do you get off each plant, and what strain are you growing?

I get an avg of 2 to 4 oz per plant under 600w depending on the strain. Currently I am growing GDP. Pretty good yielder. I used to do 9 plants under 1 light and I had so much work to do and didn't yield as much as I currently do. Less crowded that way.

Two in 3 gals = meaning two girls together? I read that in the months of growing time that they will NOT become root bound, - thus I was contemplating for space concerns putting 2 in one pot....what do you think?

2 3 gal pots with one bean in each pot will fill that space tightly with an even canopy

That should be enough space but not adaquit space though, I have 10 smashed in a 4x4x5 foot space and they are a little too close but it works.....but the height is fine becase if anything you can always top autos but normally they dont grow up into the light, heres some pics of what i have goin now but only 5 of mine are auto and the other 5 are split 2 sativas and 3 indicasView attachment 2910722View attachment 2910723View attachment 2910724View attachment 2910725View attachment 2910726
beautiful ladies! I am surprised you can fit that many in there, but they look good!

I will be doing one seed in each pot, 2 pots in the tent. I don't think I would try putting two seeds in one pot as I would feel that they would be competing for root space and end up having one normal and one dwarfed. I couldn't imagine two pots in that space would be too small? Now you guys are getting me worried!! lol
