Tolerance breaks

Does anyone partake in them? I know that this question has been asked probably before, but am curious about my situation. These days I smoke less than I used to. A quarter oz. of dank will last me 2-3 weeks, where as I used to smoke a quarter in 6 days or so. But lately, I don't feel like I am getting the high I desire. I have been smoking daily for 3-4 years now with no breaks at all. Lately I have also been waiting until 5 PM or so to smoke, and I just smoked right now for the first time all day (it's 9:30 PM here) and feel next to nothing. I am thinking of taking a tolerance break, but don't know how long the break should be for. Honestly, I don't think I could go more than 3 days myself as after I smoke quite a bit, marijuana helps me fall asleep greatly.

My question is, would a 24-48 hour tolerance break be enough to make a discernible difference? I know everyone is different but I really don't know anything about tolerance breaks.

Also, I smoke out of a small bong (it's more of a bubbler though, except it has a honeycomb and tree perc in it), and smoke joints on occasion. If I smoke a personal size joint (with maybe .6-.8 grams of weed in it), I get high as hell actually. So should I just aim to smoke more? Or would a break help me out greatly?

48 hours won't do anything except for maybe your first high or two, then it'll be back to normal. Only way to drop tolerance is to stop smoking for a while.

you will experience many positive benefits from taking an extended break from cannabis. the sleep issue is something that you will conquer within the first week if you don't let your mind tell you that you need weed to sleep. if i were you i'd take a nice 2 month break, or even start a grow and wait till harvest to toke.

in the end you will be very happy and proud of yourself for doing this. it is never good no matter what the substance to build a dependence on it. the longest voluntary t-break i took was 30 days and i have to say it was very beneficial.

I take tolerance breaks every night when I go to sleep.

Other than that....being high is my normal. It has to be, I cant stand me sober and I know it drives others nuts too.

I agree actually. I smoke so often that I'm pretty much always somewhat high. It's become normal with me, and while I'd hate to go without it, I'd love to experience a more powerful high. I have been smoking some BHO with my dealer for the past 2 months or so and I get high as hell off one good dab, but he doesn't sell it, mostly only has it to share sometimes and for personal use.

If I had the money I'd just start making my own concentrates as I know they affect me greatly, but until I start my own grow I don't know if that will be possible.

I'm on a break right now. Usually every thee months of daily smoking I take a couple weeks to a month off. Keeps me from smoking to feel normal. Then when I start up again I try to smoke the bare minimum to get the desired effect. This way the tolerance creeps up slowly and when it gets to high it's break time.

I think it's time I took a t break. I'm getting too dependent on it. I love marijuana, every aspect of it, but I'm allowing it to control me. I'm not paying my bills because my tolerance is so high. Yup I usually work out when I don't wanna smoke.
