@thenotsoesoteric. Hey a little off topic, but I always hear you talk about the blueberry you ran in 2002.
So I got this blueberry cut from archive, and it's supposed to be 2000 cup winner.
It has kind of droopy leaves but grows like a bushy beast.
Does that seem anything like you had??

Yeah, the droopy leaves are something I noticed. She was a fussy girl so any thing she didnt like she would droop fast too. I had 3 phenos total back then, 2 were green stem and vigorous with minimal berry flavor but great smoke. Then the keeper was a twisted leaf girl that was slow veg but bushed out nicely.

I think the one you have should give you that good good. Here is hoping she's what you're looking for!

If she turns out to be that one or similar.
I will hook you up with cut or seeds.
She is supposed to be from The Noon. Their winner came from Dutch Passion, so I am optimistic.

Awesome man, knock on wood and if that is the true origins of the cut you'll be nicely rewarded. Best of luck with her, cant wait to hear how she does.

That highly compressed bud with crushed seed came right out of Jamaica trust me.there was very little weed coming from So-Central Amercia in the 90s, shit havent seen good lumbo since the 70s.Been all home grown since early 80s around these parts.
Yup Jamaican pressed "ses" weed. Standard until we seen this florescent green, way too sticky, and stinky pot. Didn't trust indoor at first. Then it became harder and harder to find ses weed. Or just stopped by caring.

Sour diesel effects remind me of mexican sativas from the 90s but with a loud taste. Cheese reminds me of 90s skunk. From my limited experience many sativas smell like lemon and maybe sandlewood (the resin) and very similar to mexican sativas i grew as a kid. Haze reminds me of 90s mexican sativas the most. White widow is still around. I wanted an old school sativa too recently, so i picked up a clone of sour joker which is sour d crossed with amnesia haze. I hear nirvana has some dank white widow you might want to try. Good luck.

I remember the "ses" weed. It was so bunk. Then we would go to Humboldt county or santa cruz or san francisco in the 90s and get some amazing stateside weeds. I remember the blueberry going around santa cruz, some OGs from san fran and the most danky diesel smells out of humboldt. Used to love visiting humbokdt back in the day

What strains do you go to today to find that old school buzz? Honestly I find any good sativa dominant strain pretty close, but more rarely do I find one that has that super intense cerebral high where you feel really confused and like you're watching your life as a movie, and everything just somehow is experienced from an entirely new perspective if that makes sense? I just smoked an unknown sativa dom strain that I'm growing now that is pretty close, and it makes me very talkative ha ha...

Any strain recommendations?
super lemon haze
Hahaha! It’s funny because I was smoking SLH, came here and read OP, totally related to what he said, and then two posts down.. :bigjoint:

SLH is a beauty though, but it definitely does get me racing!

I am expecting more strains to emerge with a more balanced THC/CBD ratio and I hope for a little of that peaceful easy feelin.

So I think a lot about trying to find strains that are similar to various highs I can remember from the early late 80's and early 90's... Weed I used to buy back then that was considered fairly shitty weed, but that's probably because they were just shitty grown sativas? Like I can specifically remember picking through really shitty fluffy bags that were not brown like compressed brick weed, but definitely really mostly leaves - getting excited if it had a good nugget or two in a quarter bag. But this stuff still got us plenty good and high after smoking half a joint or so. I remember not even knowing about stuff that would give you a strong body buzz or make you sleepy, or tasted like fruit until later in the mid 90's. All the weed tasted like skunky, woody weed. My friends had better dealers though so I do remember being jealous of their denser nuggets.

In 2000 I drove up to Canada to get seeds from a seed bank. Grabbed super silver haze, Jack and white widow . Those three got me by for years and the high was different in each but intense!
