NEEM OIL must be the shit, cuz HOME DEPOT & LOWES shelves r bare!!!So in the meantime I am brewing-up my own spray...Ingredient #1 cayanne pepper spice, cost a buck at job lot,#2 clove of garlic a buck at supermarket,#3 ciggarette butts collected from gas station ashtrays,#4 old sock w/no holes/or pantyhose....TOOK tobacco out of butts put into sock, couple spoonfulls cayanne into sock, couple cloves garlic into sock & smashed up with a hammer. Then filled a pail w/ a gallon of hot water & used the filled sock like a teabag for a couple hrs soak.Brew then poured threw another sock 2 catch NE debris...BREW DONE,pour into spray bottle and go "PERFUME" my ladies....I will report back if this BREW is a success in driving away all the little nasties that have been "VAMPIRING" my girls...

OK the spray was a partial sucess when sprayed on insects on plant, they staggered around, sum died or left, the nicotine affected their nervous systems i believe.BUT as soon as plant dried insects came back, cayanne & garlic had no deterence effect that i noticed....hit em up with sum neem & dishsoap today,i'll c how that goes...

Nicotine is a great spray but doesn't have any lasting effect, which is the greatest part in its use. If you were to take about 3 full cigs or thereabouts, steep them in hotwater with a few cloves of minced garlic and then let sit overnight. Mix this with 1/4 cup of olive or veg oil and your soap. This is for a one liter mister, you can adjust amounts to fit your spray bottle. The nicotine is a contact killer and will evaporate in a couple of hours leaving nothing behind. The garlic is a repellent with antifungal properties. Your pepper spray is good for leaf eating insects but not much else, doesn't kill unless used in amounts which is harmful to your plants.

Or you could just go back to the depot and get a No Pest Strip for around $10 and be done with it.

First I would advise reading this thread here https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/444728-spider-mites-week-8-flower-2.html

Start at post #18 read the thread and all sourced materials and make a choice.
Side effects are as scary as you want them to be, as I posted in another thread, the labels
on big tobaccos packages warn their product, when used properly will cause cancer. This doesn't
stop the sale of upwards of 1.5 trillion cigarettes annually.
That said, you can either hold spider mites at bay in a constant stalemate with sprays and oils,
devoting your gardening time to killing bugs, or for seven dollars you can have four months of
tending to the needs of bug free plants.
Try the sprays and oils by all means, when used in a cycle rotating two or three different
oils, they can limit damage to a point. Be prepaired to keep a constant vigil though, the moment
you think you have them under control is around the time you'll need to spray again so you might as
well not stop spraying until you harvest.
Or, next time the tell tale little crawling white specks start dancing in mass on the sides of your pots, hang
a no pest strip, forget about your problems for 12-24 hours, then check on your mites.
You can then find T Ray, or another no pest advocate, thank them, and wonder why you weren't at least
given this cheap and simple option by your local grow shop? The place where you've probably spent
the hundreds of dollars on the products they've armed you with to battle mites.

I undestand what you guys r sayin those no pest strips r great and CHEAP...but I BRING MY PLANTS OUTSIDE TO UTILIZE THE FREE & STRONGER ENERGY of the sun, then bring them inside at nite time,so strips r of very little use 4 me...
