On my first grow at the moment.. Just wondering is is better to top or not when your growing. I'm growing outside but i have the areas to hide them and let them get abit taller. Just wanting to know whether it's worth it or not. Cheers

im growing a strain dwc indoors i topped 1 and didnt top 2, ive noticed that the ones i didnt top are very far ahead of the ones i did top but i can also tell there will be more weight on the topped one, imo it works both ways

I did the same thing with purple kush.....

I found better results with topping it... and I did it to one plant this grow.... you also have to do it early... it stresses the plants out cause the female chromazone *definately spelt wrong* gets split so you have two crown buds.....

here are some pix of my last crop with one topped and one not..... they were only 12" and 14" and I got an Oz off each *approx give or take a gram or two*

my plants now are 21" tall and have been 12/12 for a week..... I just hope my cabinet can take it.... *the one I topped is in the middle, you can see the two crowns side by side.*

alright.... I pulled them out and took pix..... let me know waht you think....

I know there is some yellowing on lower leafs.... it's due to lack of light hitting them... I uhhhh... kinda filled my cabinet a bit to bushy *that's why I only topped one they take up more space*

they are alright.... there was a pretty big scare over the christmas season....

I went away for 5 or 6 days and the one I topped almost died.... it used to have some larger sun leafs on it...

the plant used them to survive... but she seems to have made a recovery...

I got purple kush, Thia stick, and Northern lights....

I'm using Blackstrap Molasses every second watering.....

and I'm trying to source some fox farm ferts.... I'm on an island so.... yeah....

I also try to use worm castings, they are the best :D all natrual, and you don't really have to worry about putting too much in...

I've got a few different mixtures that I use... ;) my mom is a master gardener

I've got some lama poo tea brewing right now :D LOL

try this for a tea next time you get a chance... 1/2 tea spoon glacier dust, 1/4 tea spoon of natrual ivory soap I think it is, half a cup of worm castings, and 1 table spoon of black strap molasses....

put it all in 1 gallon of water.... shake it up, let it sit for 24 hours..... *shake during that time every once and a while* then mist or water your plants....

if you mist them ;) you will notice a difference in color in about 30 min.... also it keeps bugs away ;) the bugs don't like the ivory soap or the microbes from the worm castings..... just make sure to use the tea within 48 hours after it's ready to use, cause the microbes turn acidic after that long without movement in the water....

watering with molasses...im doin my second grow.. so how would i go about mixin worm casting in without disturbing the roots? my dog completely destroyed my one plant.. she dug all the soil outta it

you don't have to put he worm casting into the roots... I sprinkle min on top of the soil... so everytime I water, the water has to go through the castings first.....

or I do the tea and water it with that......
