To Hide A Grow Closet.

So I just came back from a 3 day vacation to go home for Easter and found a note on the door saying there will be a quarterly inspection to make sure the fire alarms work and air filter was clean and they could come around anytime from now until 5/7. Then to call the management office with any questions.

My grow room is in a closet in the bathroom, you have to go through my bedroom to get there (there's a door separating my room from the bathroom) and in my room is where one of the alarms are and the air-filter. So the question is how to hide it and not totally destroy the plants OR if just destroying it is the only option. The temps are 77-79 with a 250 cfm fan blowing out the door. (I went to Lowes and bought a cheap door and put vents in it) and the fan has to go because it would be too loud.

The plants are about 50 days into Veg and are 2'-3' tall. They don't smell a lot but I could notice it when I walked into the apartment, mixed with some air-freshener. Any other questions let me know. And no I don't have any friends to take the plants

Got a friend you trust? Ask him/her to hold on to them for you until the inspection is over???

just put them in your wardrobe or something when the inspection is on? i swear they have to let you know like the day before or on the day

It's in the closet now but should I just call them and ask when it is because I want to be here and make sure no one steals anything or would that give it away?

mmmmm. thats a tough one not knowing anybody trust worthy, but dont worry i have a solution for you....

go down and get yourself removalist boxes to cover them....a plant wonr mind if its shoved under the kitchen sink of cramped in a box for an hour or two. get a box that fits and when it is time put the plants in them and you dont neccessarally have to hide the boxes, have plenty of books or linnen stting on top and/or around the boxes as if you are unpacking, throw a couple of towels over it, it wont matter, as for smell, yeah incense is great, or fuck it just burn some toast before they come, if in morning, have ya cuppa and a plate thats had toast on it out. i have been in a situation like this before, i packed up my grow closet, everything went under the bed, i then deliberately had my closet open slightly so that they could see that there was nothing suss going on....vegging plants are easy to cover up their smell...

i was in a worse spot, the guys in my apartments came through a couple days back for the inspection. Since I have my plants in my bedroom closet, i told them that i was at a party last night, and i would prefer to not have them see the naked woman laying on my bed passed out. Long story short, they didnt check. lol

Are you by chance legal? if you are then I totally wouldnt worry too much. Unless you have like some 4000 watt setup going in there but I don't think thats a problem for you.

Kid, I like tricka's idea. My first grow i ever did was in an apartment complex and the one above mine had a small fire. The FD had to check my apartment out, I literally had about 4 min to hide them. Luckily they were only about 1' tall, and growing in an entertainment center with doors. Pulled the power and shut the doors, they were in and out in 10 min. Do you have any space for storage? Good luck. Really none of there business if the closet is closed, just no evidence from outside.

No on the legality of it. But I may try and do the box thing and just ask them if we can have an appointment to do it because I work midnights and don't want to be woken up. Or just ask if I can do it myself

just put a lock on the door. so one one can get in if your not home... then when you are home and the guy comes. ask him if its going to take long. then start taking you cloths of and go in your room. tell him you gotta get ready for something make it seem like your naked and in that room. hes going to leave fast..

Yeah it's looking like it will be 4/26 so I'm going to try the boxes because I do have a lot of storage places

You should look at how to make a carbon filter
and attach it to the fan that blows out of the closet,
They really work, are made from activated carbon a fish tank
Filter supply. You can pick it up at Walmart.

Yeah the problem would be the whole grow closet they could walk-in on. But I broke everything down today. They said they're trying to get through them in the next 3 days because they have to paint outside.


Next question: How long can plants survive without any light? I've heard of 72 hour light-flushes but nothing inbetween the veg and flower cycle. I figured if I can make it through this as a free man I'm going o put them straight into the flower cycle.
