To Harvest, Or Not To Harvest..

..That is the Question


Whats up guys, I'm looking for some advice on whether I should cut them down or push for a little more growth?

Ive got two frosty Critical Plus clones outside in the Carolinas.


I have read a lot of "When to Harvest" articles and heard all about the clear/cloudy trichomes and amber pistils... but what about bud formation? Do you think I should wait a couple weeks for more development in hopes of fatter buds? Or will they start degrading and lose a bit of potency?

Harvest them when you feel they are ripe. I'm going to harvest mine when the trichs are milky white bordering yellow.

I think a week would be awesome, and you'll be happy you waited they'll swell even more. Sometimes it's hard to tell they are swelling but if you were to cut a piece now and than a piece in a week or so, you'd feel the density difference in just a weeks time IMO. Also I don't recommend sampling, unless you have plenty of plants, or nothing to smoke lol. Anyhow that's my two cents and Good job Brohan

If you harvest not you're going to turn a bunch of really good bud into total dog shit. Also your weight will be extremely low.

So ask yourself the question, do you want a small amount of ditch weed right now, or a lot of really good bud in a few weeks?

I'd bet you've got another 2 weeks at least.

if your having the rain we are just north of you then look out for mold,

yea it has been raining hard. Can the buds get mold outside?

Thanks man! Im gonna do like you guys said and give them at least another week of watering. I felt one budsite and was surprised with the thicknes/sturdyness already

Ohhhh yeah esp when in the humidity your getting

They look close to me. Just my opinion from the pictures. They look tasty!

A week or 2 more will really increase the density.

the trichs are everything..................look to the trichs.................

I would flush for ten days than cut em. I started flush yesturday. Lots of people should be harvesting between now and oct

I may get flamed for this but if you want much bigger buds and are willing to sacrifice taste, add more nutes...

flush then harvest those r ready now bro take my word for it there in there prime right now!!!

don't feed for sure, wait at least 10 days or so but it's hard to tell in those pics.

I agree with PaulN'Chuck. Way too many people flush before harvest when the plants are putting on their bulk. Some of you may be surprised at what you can get when you do not flush, it has never sacrificed the taste for me. The taste and smell fall into how you dry and cure.
And of course Scroglodyte is right about the trichomes
